I had a feeling this one would be a barnburner, East is a very good team. Elliott is the clear #1 in the region, but tonite shows that they aren't guaranteed a trip to Rupp. A game like this will only help them though, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't play atleast 1 or 2 games like this in the district and regional tournaments. I didn't get a chance to listen to the game, but through the in game updates at West/Fairview, it sounded as if East made a little bit of a comeback in the 4th. I would think this would cement East as the clear #2 in the 16th, as they have been the only team to play with Elliott this year in this region, as someone stated in the prediction thread, Brandon Baker is a good coach, and i knew he would have his boys ready.

East made a great 4th quarter run on Elliott. Brandon Baker did a great job preparing for Elliott tonight.

I had said I thought East Carter was the second best team in the region but I didn't expect this. Good job Raiders and the Lions get their first scare in the region.

Elliott was out rebounded 22-39. Also, East only had 13 turnovers and Elliott had 11 turnovers.

Drew Johnson had 28 for East on his 18th b-day, good way to celebrate, would have been better with a W. I know East isn't satisfied, and those guys will work hard to get better come tourney time, as will Elliott.

This should be good for both teams. Elliott needs to win some close games before tournament time. East proved they are the 2nd best team in the region in my opinion. They played a near flawless games against the Elliott press. East shot I believe over or around 90% from the free thow line, outrebounded Elliott by 17, and only had 13 turnovers.

Free Throw Shooting was the reason it was close at all.

 

 

Elliott missed at least 14 and East didnt miss many.

 

East rebounds the ball well.

 

I dont think East could have played any better.

 

Billman, Roark and the other guy were terrible on both ends of the Floor.

 

Baker was at the Scorers Table more then he was on the Bench.

 

East is by far the 2nd best team in the 16th Region.

On any given night any team can win/lose.....

Double WOW ! ! ! ! It is hard to beat a team 3 times . See them in the district. Only time will tell.
