Madison Central 59 Montgomery Co. 48

Featured Replies

Montgomery couldn't solve the Madison Central half court zone trap and ended up shooting 33% from the floor. Montgomery took a lead early in the 3rd, but couldn't pull this one out. Clark with 15 and 8, Stephens with 10 and 8 for Montgomery.

Morris with 24 and 9, Jarvis with 13 pts for Madison Central.

Neither team shot the three well. Each team was 2/16 for a whopping 12.5%Kind of ugly.

What is the status of the kid from Madison Central that had a broken foot. (Keshawn Johnson?) I thought he was supposed to hear this week whether/when he'd be back. Madison really needs him to make a strong 11th region run.

He was at the game on crutches and walking in a boot. Sorry, don't know the details. He will help Madison Central tremendously when he gets back.

The half court zone really gave Montgomery fits, and Central moved the ball on offense better than most teams I have seen. Montgomery couldn't handle the pressure and that's what got Central the W IMO.

I only caught the first quarter of this game before returning to Maysville. It looked like the Madison Central starting center was struggling a bit physically and spent much of the quarter on the bench. Is he all right?

Keshawn Simpson, and according to him and others on the team he will be back for districts, but who knows how well he play having not touched a ball in a couple months. I hope he comes back and makes a big impact though.

Good win for Madison Central. Montgomery County is very tough to beat in their new gym.
