Big district game tomorrow night at Estill. Kinser was out the last time these two played. Should be a good one. Any thoughts on who the winner will be?

There's not a whole lot of differences in these two teams. Estill won at Powell, but as was mentioned, Powell didn't have their leading scorer. I would tend to lean toward the Engineers winning this one, but they have been inconsistent lately, defeating a good Buckhorn team on the road, but losing handily at home to Jackson County and Letcher Central. Powell has been on a roll (8 straight wins) until their recent defeat at Allen Central.

If Estill has their outside game going in Irvine, then they will win. If not....well...:sssh:

This will be a battle. So much at stake with this game. I am going with Powell by 3 and that should really make the seeding interesting.

Estill County handles the ball well and Powell has trouble with teams with good guard play. Powell County is playing well as a team. Hard to call this one. Estill by 3.

I believe if Estill wins then they will be the # 1 seed in the district for the tournament. The worse they could be would be 5-1 (assuming Lee beats them in Beattyville in February). However, if they lose and then also lose to Lee, then they will be 4-2 and tied with Powell and Lee. If that occurs, then the seeding will be determined by how many points each won over the others in their regular season games (can't count anything over a 15 point spread, though). If there's still a tie, I think it then goes to a coin toss, but if it's a 3 way tie.....I don't know.:creepy: That's never happened before.

Maybe they can 'odd-man-out' with the coins.

Powell by 5 or 6. Must beat Estill by 12 plus and hope for a Lee win against the Engineers in order to get the one seed.

I'm taking Estill in this one. Powell is always hard to beat at home but Estill's guards seem to be able to handle the pressure. Estill by 7
