Hazard 60 Lee Co 59

Featured Replies

Lee led at the half, down by 11 by the end of the third, pulled to within 1, got hacked resulting in a turnover. Aaron Charles led all scorers with 29.

Final.

Don't have any stats or how the game ended. I'm sure someone can help out in that area. :thumb:

Wow, apparently the mods are refreshing the board like I am, I didn't even have to ask to combine them.

Thanks. : )

Hazard moves on to the semi-finals on Saturday at 8pm. They will play the winner of Cordia/Wolfe Co.

Campbell 13

Whitaker 11

Lee

Charles 29

Pelphrey 18

Thought it would be close, but not this close!! Lee must have played great! That is how it goes in the tournaments, survive and advance! Good luck Saturday Dawgs!!

I was impressed w/ Lee. Hazard did not play their best and was primed for an upset. Good job on the effort that the Bobcats put forth. I was glad to see thes two schools play tonight...a lot of games got cancelled which is going to make the rest of the tournament tough for who ever comes out.

By the score, it seems like it would have been an exciting game to watch.

What happened exactly? Could Lee Co. won the game?

Yeah really. I was shocked by this score, seems either Lee played very well or Hazard didn't do so hot.

Lee had the ball, one pt down, 20 seconds to go. Momentum to Lee Co, Charles on fire. Lee was executing a set play; Pelfrey at the top of the key was chopped across the forearm resulting in dropping the ball. I really don't think that Hazard could have stopped Charles if he had the ball on the last play.

But again, Hazard won the game and good luck to them!

Not with the those refs.

Not with the those refs.

Seems like it would have been the other way, being at Lee Co. So was someone fouled and it was not called, resulting in the win for Hazard. If a foul would have been called would the score be different?

Lee had the ball with 30 seconds to go and called time with 21 seconds left and threw the ball in and the pg threw to Lee's center 35 foot away from the goal to start the play Lee's was going to run. The center was hacked hard twice across both arms out at the top in front of erveryone and on the third whack the squirted up in the air. Hazard recovered with 15 secoonds left dribbled and passed it around backcourt to avoid a foul and with 2.8 got the ball across half court and was fouled. 10 seconds anyone. Oh well it was a good game and Hazard played hard and hit big shots. I hope Hazard goes all the way and crushes JBS in the finals. Al is a master. Those calls hurt only because of the timing. Hazard won the game fair and square.

I think I see a pattern. Hazard found a way to win at end.

Not with the those refs.

Yea, refs happen! If you know what I mean. :sssh:

I had a feeling this game would be close. Lee County has a pretty good team when they are clicking. Hazard is lucky to get out of Beattyville with a W.

And all those 20 point loss predictions for Lee County.

Where's the respect (and love:D) for the 56th?
