Hazard 60 Lee Co 59

Featured Replies

Lee had the ball with 30 seconds to go and called time with 21 seconds left and threw the ball in and the pg threw to Lee's center 35 foot away from the goal to start the play Lee's was going to run. The center was hacked hard twice across both arms out at the top in front of erveryone and on the third whack the squirted up in the air. Hazard recovered with 15 secoonds left dribbled and passed it around backcourt to avoid a foul and with 2.8 got the ball across half court and was fouled. 10 seconds anyone. Oh well it was a good game and Hazard played hard and hit big shots. I hope Hazard goes all the way and crushes JBS in the finals. Al is a master. Those calls hurt only because of the timing. Hazard won the game fair and square.

Thanks for the info, bball king!!

I respect Hazard and Al a ton and I am not trying to take anything away from them. They played a good game and dererve to win.

I don't think you got it?? The Professor was complimenting Lee County and the 56th District--

That's exactly what I was doing. Lee County was (tonight) and is, very capable of beating any team in the region when they're on their game. Depth might be a problem, but their starting 5 is solid.

The steal at the end of the game was clean by #30, this game was poorly called on both ends Campbell was getting hacked all night, He got a rebound once had two people on him and they called a charge somehow, But hazard didnt come ready for the game and got lucky to win but with that out of the system they should go on and win this thing.

Hazard didn’t really look like this game should have been taken seriously

but the bobcats put up a real fight. Lee could have won the game. Refs could have been questionable.......but that’s the 14th region, not the NBA. I personally thought the intentional foul on Drake was a horrible call. Congrats to Hazard.........and I hope you knock JBS off their pedestal

Congrats to Hazard! Hope to see you in Richmond.

Congrats Hazard for the win.

Lee IMO is one of the top 5 teams in the region. This team has the size and shooting capability of beating a Hazard or a June B. They have a solid pg, a leader that loves to score, role player that can knock down a jump shot and a big banger down low that can rebound and has his days scoring with his back to the basket. I have watched Lee play early in the season and then last week and was impressed with Coach Wright's team and how much they have improved over the season.

IMO, Lee is the favorite in the 56th if they get the number 1 spot with Estill right there with them, Powell isn't far behind and will more than likely win since it is at Powell so getting the number one spot is a must(I think Estill may already have it but I'm not for sure), and Owsley is capable of pulling off another upset like the one last year againest Lee because they are playing with the other three teams in the distric they just cant find a way to win.

I predicted this game to be under 8pts because it was at Lee. At Hazard and at this time in the season I would take Hazard by 10+. Give Lee some more experience and let them find a way to play on the road as good as they do at home and they can compete with June B or Hazard.

Good win for Hazard and Goodluck to both teams on down the road.

I dont think you get it . I wasn't referring to the professor. I responded to Memorial Gym. I just didn't want to complain about the refs and not give Hazard thier due.

I got to give it to Lee Co. they played extreamly hard and with alot more passion than Hazard. Lee has a really good pg, sf and a big physical center.

Not the best showing by the dawgs, probably the worst game I have seen them play from a defense and hussle standpoint. Lee must have had 6 or 7 run out layups in first half.

Hazard looked flat as pancake, Whitaker struggled a little last night and several other dawgs seemed to be a sleep.

As for the refs, sloppy called all night both ways, ?able int. foul call on Lee and some ? calls on Campbell for Hazard(sidenote: certain ref, last couple of games called for Hazard, seems to have something aganist Campbell).

Lee played really well, Coach Wright does great job.

Hazard must play better and alot harder to win this tournament.

Lee is a really much better team than most think, and is unusually good at home. I was not at the game, but I know one of the referee's well, he is a good friend and I cannot image that he would deliberately favor one team over another. Lighten up, fellow Bobcat fans.

No one said intentional bad call. But a bad call is still a bad call.

So was the intentional foul against Lee called intentionally or not? :p Personally, I think it was intentionally called, ie, the ref intended to call it a flagrant foul. Either way, it was indeed a very bad call.
