I don't see this being a very high scoring game. Can Frederick Douglass play with enough tempo and speed to compete this year early is the big question. If they don't get overwhelmed with the speed Boyle plays with early in the game, they win 17-14. If Boyle big plays them early for a couple quick easy scores I will go with Boyle 21-17.

One thing I will say to this topic...High Schools should really have a person or 2 that are educated in financial aid and school loans etc...high schools should counsel all students and their parents on packages during their senior year.

Local community college system in KY should be utilized a bunch. Lots of good associate degrees and affordable.

Just because a guy isn't NBA talent doesn't mean he is mediocre. These guys would still rule the local YMCA court. As for rankings, as soon as one of the Elite schools offers a player, they get a big time bump in the recruiting numbers. Keion was a solid role player at UK, who had a couple big games. There is nothing wrong with that. He did appear to have a little bit of an attitude at times...he talked back to the coaches more than any player this past year. It was probably time both sides got some fresh scenery.

I have always heard that Danville HS used to sit on Centre campus and Centre on Danville's campus. They traded in back in the early 1900's. It's possible that Danville built Centre's stadium if this is true.

This is especially true now with cell phones and google. This is a great philosophy on teaching because it is rewarding detail in note taking which is more important than regurgitating information. Now surgeons on the operating table...I want them to know what the heck they are doing!

Every player has 1 opportunity to put their name in the draft, go through the process and get valuable feedback from NBA execs about their game and what they need to work on. Then come back to school. Toppin is a Junior, so this is a no brainer to declare and get the information and experience he will receive. Plus I think Toppin might be the best long term pro prospect on this years team. I felt Cal held him back as much as any player in a while at UK.

Plus he made NIL money. I would be willing to bet the kids got 6 figures of NIL money plus daily access to some of the best facilities and training in the country instead of attending his senior prom. Well played Mr. Sharpe.

I agree with that, but Oscar wasn't demanding the ball...at one point in the season, Cal ran some good stuff isolating Grady and Oscar on the same side of the court...Didn't see any of that toward the end of the year. The last couple of entry passes from Wheeler to Oscar were the worst I have seen from that level of player. It's like Cal panicked and said get the ball to Oscar and then it became a hot potato.

UK peaked to early, put the bullseye on their own back, then the pressure ate them up! The last 5 minutes and overtime of the St. Pete game, they looked like a JV team because of the pressure IMO. UK didn't have that "DOG". Ty Ty was never the same after his injury and he was the "DOG" they were missing. Oscar is a Machine, but not the "Give me the ball and get out of my way" player they needed. Teams figured out if you could get UK in a half court game, they struggled. Teams gave up offensive rebounds in order to keep UK out of transition where Wheeler was at his best. Wheeler only knows how to play one way and that never changed.

When the Sharpe hoopla hit it's loudest voice this winter, UK hit it's peak and it made Cal scared to screw up the mojo of the team. Hindsight is always 20/20, but when UK didn't have anyone who could get a bucket on their own the last 3 weeks of the season, one wonders how much difference it would have been with Sharpe. However, if you play Sharpe, Grady and Mintz become even more role players and their minutes would have been effected the most.
