Hard to go against a horse ridden by Rosario.

Give me #3, #6, and #8 for a boxed in trifecta based solely on the list above.  Usually I research quite a bit but I'll just roll with gut instinct haha!

With Turfway currently being nonexistent, it makes me care a little less.  Used to always like going there around 11am or 12pm on Derby Day.  Having 1-2 beers and place a couple bets.

Churchill has suspended Bob Baffert from racing at any of their tracks for 2 years, so he will not have any horses in this year's Derby or next years. He this makes the 6th time since 1996 when he had his first Derby horse that Baffert hasn't had a horse in the field. He's trained a total of 34 Derby horses, with 6 Derby wins, 3 second place finishes, and 3 third place finishes.

Tim Yakteen, who is training #6 Messier and #12 Taiba, is a former Bob Baffert assistant, but he's been running his own operation for more than two decades. Per the terms of Baffert's suspension, he is not allowed to have any contact with any current or former employees still employed in the horse racing industry.

Hit the Oaks Tri.  Hoping that luck carries over for the Derby.  Also hit the first leg of the Oaks/Derby Double.  I love the Derby and the horses, but only follow the big three races.

Don’t care at all about betting, but Derby season is a magical time in the city. Couldn’t pay me to be anywhere else.

Crazy race this year.  A lot of long shot betters just got PAID.

Just wild how much ground that horse made up on the last straight away.  Never seen a race end like that before.

Maybe Mine That Bird in 2009, but he was tight on the rail the entire trip. Rich Strike had to move around a bit.

On the replay, it looked like he moved up from about 13th or 14th place on that last leg of the race to win.

Unless youre that guy that ALWAYS does the long shots.  Could've done that for the last 40 years and came out ahead $120.00+ today.  But yeah, I'm not a big gambler period.  Never felt the risk was worth the reward.
