All of the coaches listed above have done a tremendous job! I would just like to throw some recognition to Chad Montgomery, HC at Dayton. He has done a wonderful job of not only improving the quality of play on the field, which has shown with more wins this year than they have had for a while, but also in getting the boys to come together as a team.

I agree, it would be nice if the school they were leaving could get some sort of answer.....

The celebration penalties were flying during the KHSAA football state title games for nothing more than spiking a ball, yet there were coaches nearly out to mid-field (not exaggerating) who were not even given sideline warnings. That is the problem with leaving some open for interpretation and some as automatic.

Ludlow was due to a power outage...not a lack of maintenance.

The hook on the tree was a great idea for the boys!

The fullback was one of the bright spots on the offense. He was a load to bring down, ask Newport.

A) Less football players going through the school; 2 new high schools built in Boone County in the last 20 years. B) Since we are measuring success in 6A state championships, when is the last time a state title was won in 6A or the former 4A for that matter?

The best was when teams would play a split 8-man and 11-man season and send you an 8-man tape!

Having seen both teams play, I'm really not so sure that Frankfort is so much incredibly faster than WV as people are making them out to be.

Because of college recruiting it will never happen.

The game will be played at Dixie Heights on the 10th. Teams, at least for the West, can have up to 5 players.

If you want to talk about a coach being a motivator, then Adam is as good as they come. Not only has he had success as a varsity assistant at Dixie and jv coach at Ludlow, look at what he has done in other sports. As the head cross country coach this year (and in his first year doing it at that) he took the boys team to state for the first time EVER. As an assistant track coach he has sent an individual jumper/hurdler to the state track meet every single year he has coached those events. If that doesn't scream motivation I don't know what does.

PC+Fumbles and Personal Fouls were too much to handle. Congrats PC!

I'm not saying they are poorly coached, but their head coach does still need to learn a bit about how to handle things. After the loss on Monday night Ryan Ernst quoted the coach on Ernst's 9-29 blog as saying "We are the better team"...you don't do this when you give up five straight touchdowns and lose to a team by 3 scores. With that said, the team has 3 wins on the season and has a chance to win a few more. No matter what people predicted the kids have worked very hard to make these strides...keep up the good work guys! Going from 0-20 to whatever this years final tally will be is tremendous for the players!

I heard that with illness, the weather, and the funky schedule the Panthers actually only had one real practice and one walk-through going in to this game and I think it might have shown through with the rough first quarter.

I don't see where in this thread anyone has said this, and I certainly don't think anyone from Ludlow has gone to the paper saying they can do that. If I remember last years Enquirer correctly, how has Brossart faired against Newport, Ludlow, Dayton, Owen County...

The best part was the response by the Brossart student section to the masks, chanting "We have H1....", classic!

And I know that the excuse is that several of the Brossart players were sick, but Ludlow was missing several key starters on defense due to illness. Just throwing that out there.
