Final

Brossart scores two quick TDs and PATs in first quarter, then get outscored 35-0 for remaining three quarters.

The two Ludlow TDs in the first half were on a kickoff return and a 94 yard scamper by QB Stegemoller. Game tied 14-14 at the half.

Ludlow comes out smokin in the third period, scores three TD's and PATs, makes it 35-14. Brossart never really mounted a serious threat in the second half.

Brossart came out ready to play and got off to a quick 14 to 0 lead. Ludlow was able to tie it at 14 going into half. Then after half and both teams getting the chance to made adjustments, Ludlow was able to come out and just really dominate the second half of the game. Brossart is definitely starting to head in the right direction though, I wouldn't be suprised to see them maybe pull out a district win somewhere this year. The better team won this game tonight though.

Way to go Panthers! Now enjoy this win tonight, and then turn your attention quickly to Dayton because you have another big game 4 days from now.

Good job Brossart players. You have a good football team. Hang in their!

Congrats to Ludlow on the win. Coach Hornsby is a class act!!! I really enjoy seeing them do well.

Doesn't get easier for the Mustangs, as Bellevue has a nice team. Could be the start of a long stretch for BBHS.

The whole community of Ludlow is behind him, as you said he is a class act and is a great person for the job.

Things definitely don't get any easier for them. However they are definitely going in the right direction, and as I said before I wouldn't be surprised to see them maybe pull off a district win this year at some point.

Rough one for Brossart playing without practicing the past week.

I'm sure it was. You have to overcome the adversity though. Good teams don't whine, or make excuses.

Brossart came out and ready to play. Coach Reinhart spoke volumes I think on the fake punt that eventually turned into the Mustangs first score. IMO, I think the Mustangs may have gotten worn down a bit as the game tailed off. We wish them nothing but the best and better health as the season goes on.

I was very impressed with the Mustangs defense. They definately have some guys on the line that have benefitted from the weight room. As stated above, they will sneak in a District win before the year is out.

As for the Panthers, Drew Rice is a machine on the line. Even Coach Reinhart said in his pre-game interview that Drew is probably one of the best linemen in NKY that won't get noticed by colleges. We hope that's not the case. He was all over the field.

Congrats to the Panthers on the win on homecoming night. The place was packed on a Monday night for a high school game. Big plays by Zach Stegmoeller and Chris Yates for the Panthers on offense.

And I know that the excuse is that several of the Brossart players were sick, but Ludlow was missing several key starters on defense due to illness. Just throwing that out there.

Did the Ludlow students have the homecoming parade floats? They usually have each class create a homecoming parade float that they drive around the track at halftime for the fans and judging. Homecoming at Ludlow is probably one of the best in the area because of that.

I'm proud to say that is still the tradition.

They did. Very nice presentation.

I must say, I thought that those wearing the isolation masks from the Panthers fans was a bit of bad taste. I'm sure the Brossart fans felt bad enough.................
