  1. I agree. This certainly is shaping up to be an interesting region in AAAA
  2. Congrats to Connor for getting a win out of the most unusual scheduling situations ever.
  3. The outcome of this game is indicative of why Beechwood would, could, should consider moving up to AA.
  4. Are Bell Co & LexCath expected to Battle in out for a spot in the finals? Where does Boyle Co fit in?
  5. As the CC season is getting hot, Brossart, St. Henry & Villa Madonna boys look like the could take the first three spots among small schools in the state meet. Do you agree? Do you think they will finish in the order mentioned or will someone be able to mix it up a bit?
  6. The last time the Knights visited Ft. Thomas, the canon was kept quiet. Not this time though. Birds roll again.
  7. I suggest removing the "Bird's Nest" banner so the canon is visible.
  8. Way to go Rebels. You have a fan up North. Good luck getting a few more wins this season. I hope the folks in OC are coming out and supporting the team.
  9. I've only seen CCH play once this year, but I've seen 'em play about 35 times over the past 40 years. This year's team plays with the same amount of heart and high level of determination as any of their championship teams. CovCath has never gone undefeated, yet they have won about eight state titles. This year they play with the same kind of character as a team battling for a championship. They play hard the entire game.
  10. Congrats Tigers. Best wishes to Mr. Isler for a full recovery.
  11. Question: Who will be the next team from Campbell County to find itself back on HHS' schedule & when? NCC or CCHS?
  12. Ryle x 2, Colerain, Holmes, Dixie, CovCath, Beechwood, Scott, LexCath, ?, T ?
  13. Roll Breathitt Roll!!! The Turner Clan up Newport way are loving it.
  14. This sounds like one of many outstanding ball games last night. Raceland must be a very good team, because I know that LCA has speed and talent.
  15. This must have been a great one. Congrats to Rebels. I'm looking forward to a visit from LexCath in a few weeks.
  16. Hey Fast Hands, I don't blame you for not naming the host team with the overzealous announcer. I am curious though. Please hint at the region of the state and class size. I might just be fortunate enough to catch the act live.
  17. Back in '96 (I think) in a game famous for a wet field, there were aligations about the chain gang working the visitor sideline signalling info they were able to intercept to the home team.
  18. This was a hard hitting emotional game. The return & the early fumble were obviously huge. A metaphore for the game might be the feet-first slide by one QB vs the not-to-be denied head first dive for a score by the other. Sideline coaching of the CCH defensive unit during the 1st quarter seamed casual. PVS must have had 100 tackles. CovCath should make it better game next time, but the Birds will have additional weapons to contend with. And yes, education trumps everything else.
  19. Congrats to both clubs. This is once again an important rivalry.
  20. This one will be a real tussle. NCC has played very well though a very tough schedule. Their big come from behind win in last year's title game was amazing. I think they have a slight edge in this one. Hopefully, NKY will already have two crowns in the bag by Saturday morning, and the Breds will make it overflow!
  21. Watched the Bluebirds come off the field after practice at 9 pm tonight, it was almost surreal. Such a tremendous effort to get to this point. No doubt, the same can be said for the Purples. I'm expecting an outstanding game with lead changes, etc. Good luck to both teams in their quest for the first ever 5A title in Ky.
  22. This one should be a dandy. I'm expecting Louisville Central to be facing the Pirates next week in a classic.
