Keep it in under your skin Knights - remember how things went tonight, let it fester, play with wreckless abandon and make sure you explode during the rematch.

The football field is a great place to exact sweet revenge.

Not a fan of either team, but the game was in Lex and looked good, so I thought I would attend. Heres my question for Boyle fans... It seemed like most of the night Lex Cath's QB had all day to throw.. its Boyle's line that bad or is Catholic's Oline that good?

A great game between two great teams!!! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves this evening.

1st of all, my hat is off to both teams for leaving it all on the field tonight. Both teams have incredibly talented defenses and the battle of field position pretty much lasted throughout the night. Boyle swarmed to the ball again tonight just as they have each game this year. Lex Cath also swarmed to the ball and their corners were very quick.

This could have easily been a Lex Cath victory in that they had 2 TD's (one on a kick return and one on an interception) called back due to penalties. Both teams' offensive production was marginal; however, this was due in large part to the defensive prowess of each team.

It's ashamed that these teams are in the same district. And as the saying goes, it is going to be hard to beat LC twice in the same year should these two teams meet again (which is very likely).

Again, congrats to both teams on a well fought battle.

You must have been at a different game. ALL DAY to throw?? Maybe in long yardage situations...Which was most of the night. Hmmm...Maybe you are right. :ylsuper:

KEEP ROLLIN' BOYLE. KNOCK 'EM OFF ONE AT A TIME!!

Boyle's D line is VERY strong against the run and average against the pass. They simply aren't big enough up front to get consistent pressure on the qb. I thought LC's offensive line was quite good btw.

Boyle on occasions does not rush the passer, The 3 down linemen try to make sure the Quarterback does not get outside and make a big run scrambling. They will go after the quarterback but you have no idea when. I thought the line played well shutting down Catholic's running game. They had 1 firstdown the in the first half. On numerous occasions the Knights had a 2nd and 1 or 2 and lost yardage running the ball setting up a 3rd. and 5.

This win keeps us at home (as long as we win) all the way to the Regional Finals. Big win!! Big,Big win!! The game was no different than the 99 00 games Boyle had with Catholic. A all out war.

There were numerous occasions (long yardage or not) where it seemed like Catholic had plenty of time to throw. Boyle looked great against the run (to the eye, I dont know the final stats) but didnt get the kinda pressure on the QB I expected I guess.

Great game. I always enjoy a victory over Lexington Catholic and it's been a while since I could enjoy that feeling. Both defenses did a great job and I think the main reason Boyle won is because we had 0 turnovers. This game could have gone either way, especially with the 2 return td's called back because of penalty, but I definitely would like a quality clock technician to start(or not stop) the clock at the appropriate time after a run that does not get a first down(2:46). Fortunately it didn't affect the outcome of the game. Does anyone have a Jordan Aumiller update? I know it's his shoulder but how serious is it is the question. I know all about shoulders that like to pop out of place. I look forward to the rest of the season and the playoffs. I think it will take a great and I stress great passing team to defeat and score consistently on the BC defense. You are not going to run the ball on this defense. Period.

Keep doing what you're doing REBELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a difference a year, or a coach, makes.

Hate to have missed this game, especially since I'm in town.

I listened to the last quarter and half on the radio. It sounds like a classic Knight-Rebel contest which is what we've all come to expect from these two programs.

I read the Herald Leader write up and the stats are pretty close. 2 big returns were negated by penalties for Lex Cath.

Boyle Radio said Aumiller was hurt in the game but I never heard any details about it. It sounded as if Boyle held the Knight running game in check but the passing game put together two good drives that only produced 8 points. The FG was the result of a bad Boyle punt and 7 yards on three plays.

All in all it sounded like a dandy Rebel and I'd love to hear your thoughts and others. :thumb:

I'm sure Boyle feels the same way. :thumb:
