Pretty hands down for a mason county fan 1. Royals win first state title 2. Lofton makes crazy shot against Trinity. But my all time favorite moment (besides these) was in 2004 at the fith-third holiday classic when Lofton Shoots from half court to tie the game just as Tubby Smith was walking out the door because he thought the game was over. OHHH NO! Not with Lofton in the game. Mason was down 3 and the inbound goes to half court, lofton turns and shoots and makes the shot. you have to understand this was the year Tubby wasnt giving Lofton much credit as a player. The whole Mason side erupts in a TUBBY! chant and he continues to walk out the door. I LOVED IT!

A good suprise for mason county fans and i am suprised no one from maysville has brought this up is that Richie Cox is a pretty good basketball player in a couple pick up games at the YMCA he was shooting and driving to the whole well. This just wasnt against the cheering section guys who still dream of the chance to play either. Looks pretty good for the Royals with Miller, Scott, Browning, Middleton, Stahl, and Pawsat all returning. Mason also has good bench play including, Setty, King, Downing, Thompson. Its gonna be a great year in titletown baby!

I said 28-0 and it sure looked close at the start but Fleming stepped it up and held us to only 22 gosh but it was a good game and even more important a huge step in the right direction for the Royals. Lets go get Morgan!

Lookin good this week lots of enthusiasim from the guys, like any week before the Fleming game. Ritchie Cox is a great Junior leader at quarterback, seniors have especially stepped up this week for one more shot at the panthers. and wish russ the best of luck and hope he made the right decision for him. I was told at state tournament that Pendleton would be lucky to win 10 games next year i didnt know they were loosing so much but this is from a person very high up in the pendleton program.

I think a suprise player next year for fans of the tenth region will be Tony Browning. He was a 6th man last year at mason and really showed up to play against Warren Central. The kid can jump out of the gym.

1.Mason 2.Clark 3.Brossart Mason will actually be better next year with the young guys getting experience and will have one of the tallest starting line ups for a long time in mason county.

Its just to bad it had to be played tonight and not Saturday. Jeffersontown will not have as much rest and preperation for their game wednesday. But also Johnson Central did not know who to prepare for. No clear advantage. Congradulations Jeffersontown.

So much respect for coach Starns unquestionably had alot to do with the Blue Swarm defence in the championship run in 03. It was hard to see him leave but im extremely happy for him. JC and mason on Saturday???

You must not have followed the SEC this year. Lofton is not only a great shooter but was one of the leaders in spg. As for speed he left everyone in the 10th in the dust for 2 years. I just hope you were being sarcastic. :lol:

Great point rolls. and if you recall Brossart played the royals tighter last night then the regular season game at brossart.

The differences between montgomery county and mason..... mason has: Plenty of restraunts to choose from for people that havent ate before. largest seating compacity. (Bigger then the new gym in montgomery.) Home side holds just as much as away side. More then enough parking. and if you want to cry about the trip to Clark county you can choose from many hotels
