Any news or updates on how practice has gone this week? The grid v. Middlesboro (at Clay Co.) is Thursday night (8/22). I did see the Dragons' kicker (Wolfe?) make a 44 yard FG in practice this afternoon.

I was amazed watching him in the state final...congrats to the young man.

Safe at Home is right on point. It is tremendously tough and is so much heartache. I often think the 6 years I've coached without a kid playing were easier and less stressful than the 8 years I've coached with a kid playing. Balancing the relationships with your kids and other parents or thoughtless outsiders is difficult to say the least. Having said that, it is impossible to say that I wouldn't do it again in light of the fun and many rewarding experiences along the way.

Lynn Camp, Williamsburg, Middlesboro, Pineville, and Harlan make up a middle school conference. As for this thread, I am with Average Joe...it won't necessarily be a cake walk, but on paper Bell should win every district game this year.

Isn't Miracle an 8th grader this fall? For him to have been close to HS contribution as a 7th grader is high praise indeed.
