What did you think? You can break it down as well as anyone there.

I thought at the end of last season that Harlan was losing most of its top players. I thought this season would be Harlan's low point before they started getting better, not last year, but things went bad after the loss in the opener.

The Dragons and Coach Donahue should be much improved next season. They will have a solid line for Class A football in the mountains. They also have one of the best skill players in the district in Hensley. I think anything less than 500 would be a down season for the Dragons next year.

What is Hensley's first name?

Anything less than .500 is a down year for Harlan ANY year. What's going on with this season?

Not much depth. Very low number of players. Can't afford to lose anybody. Hopefully some younger guys will step up. There are signs of improvement from last year. But, still re-building. I expect to win 3 or 4 games. As Wideopen said, even better next year!

I never have and never will comment on specifics or players at Harlan HS(or Harlan County for that matter) on an open forum like this. PM me and I'll tell you a lot, haha! You know that Im seldom at a lose for words!:laugh:

So is this Harlan County Black Bears or some other Harlan team?

Some other! :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Some other! :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I knew who you are referring to but for those outside the area I do think it would be much better if you would put Harlan City or Harlan County in your thread title.

I understand what you are saying but the names of the schools are Harlan HS and Harlan County HS. The "independent" refers to the entire Harlan City system!:thumb: However, for others around the state I will try to differentiate!

I don't think I'll ever get used to anything but Harlan for Harlan High School. If we're talking about Harlan County, most of us here will say Harlan County or the Bears or Black Bears.

Just like New York State or New York City. :D
