I think Jackets referred to Williamsburg as a team Harlan beat but that gave KC trouble.

HDE is being modest...the backs were not as good as the line for Cawood that year...Garry Henson, Tim Shackleford, Craig Simpson, Mike Burke...please...they were pretty darn good. I remember their defensive line obliterating Freddie Maggard that year (senior at Cumberland)...Freddie wasn't quite a scrub (ha).

All I know is that numbers appear decent, the guys appear to be working hard, and several appear to have added some good muscle to their frame. I did hear that one senior lineman dropped his 40 time into the 4's last week. He was excited and hopes to drop 2 more tenths if possible.

Been a few weeks on this thread...any scoops on how the off-season is progressing? I know there is a combine they are scheduled to attend tomorrow. Just curious...

The good news if that with the linemen returning and the backs that could be assembled, the QB, whomever it turns out to be, should not have to carry the team. The better news is that it sounds like this year's numbers will at least keep the QB from having to also be the middle linebacker and the long snapper. PS - My avatar made the best play in Super Bowl history yesterday.

A friend of mine has a son that plays, and the son said he hadn't seen Clark for a couple of days. I don't know much about the HC depth chart, so I was just curious. I have to believe Clark is a big part of the plan for next season. It definitely looks like the line will be solid and have depth.

A bit surprising since W'burg appeared to have been on the rise a bit, but Coach Phipps has been good for a long time.

This thread has been silent for awhile...what is the word on how offseason workouts are going?

Are the players getting anything done while they wait for a new coach?

I will say this after being down at Pineville last week. They have excellent facilities and equipment for a Class A school.

Who would be the favorites to start on the O-Line? Also, is there any word on Shequille Clark and whether he is attending offseason workouts?

If it happens, there should be renewed excitement at PCC.
