Raceland's Carver and Logan to sign with Georgetown

Featured Replies

I have just learned that Raceland football standouts John Scott Carver and Rob Logan will be signing with Georgetown to play football next season.

Georgetown's Coach Bill Cronin made a visit to both Carvers and Logan's home and they will both be at Georgetown this fall. Logan will be on the OL or DL and Carver was recruited as a RB.

I understand that Georgetown representatives will be at the school on Wednesday (official signing day) for the signing.

I was thrilled to hear this about these two fine young men. Both are great athletes along with being very good kids from great families as well. J.S. Carver will be going into Pre Med so he can go into the Pharmacy program and Rob Logan will be going into Sports Management. Both of these fine young men are very deserving and will be a sucsess at whatever they go into.

Congrats again to John Scott Carver and Rob Logan, both were two of Raceland's finest from this past season's very sucsessful Ram Football team. Guys, your years of hard work, blood, sweat and tears along with your dedication through good and bad times have paid off.

I am sure that I speak for ALL Raceland fans in that everyone in our community is proud of you.:thumb:

(just think guys, you don't even have to change from the orange and black....:D)

I am proud of both Robbie Logan and John-Scott Carver. Both were outstanding high school football players and I am sure both will be successful at Georgetown.

Robbie was heavily recruited by several D1, D2, and NAIA schools. Georgetown is getting one very good OL/DL. Robbie has D1 size, strength, and speed. I am sure he will be a contributor at Georgetown soon.

John-Scott was a thousand yard rusher, had over 600 yards receiving, and became a very good kick returner - returning several punts for TD's. He could have had two thousand yards rushing if not sharing carries will another great RB (Denton). Carver mixed speed with strength and could see some playing time on special teams as a freshman.

Both players are very good athletes, very good in the classroom, and well mannered young men. I couldn't be happier for both. Good luck at Georgetown Robbie and John-Scott, I know you will be successful there and in life.

I would like to add that all LCA fans are glad to see that they will be playing for Georgetown.......and NOT for Raceland anymore! :D

Congrats to both young men. They are truly a couple of great young men. From very good families.

We are trying to check and see of they possibly could have any eligibility left.:sssh: Both I believe were "orange shirted" their freshman year.:D

I am so proud of both these boys. I can't wait to see them play on Saturdays.

Congratulations and good luck to both of these young men. Papa and family will be on hand to watch most of the home games!

Congratulations!!! Well deserved.

Congrats to John Scott and Robbie. Nice reward for all their hard work and dedication on the field and in the classroom.

Both are excellent young men from great families.

I wish them the best and look forward to watching them play for the Tigers.

I think the key selling point was Coach Cronin telling them that they could keep wearing orange & black. :thumb:
