Pulaski County 35 Perry County Central 21

We played well last night. Just seemed to have too many weapons for PCC to handle, the Pulaski defense was good for most of the game. Those who predicted a 4 seed upset for this game have to give Pulaski their props. And oh yeah, I am ready for how PC has no chance in the next round too.

Who said that PC had no chance? They were a #1 seed taking on a #4 seed. PC has impressed me with how Eastham has stepped up after losing Muse. Good teams find a way to overcome adversity, and they certainly have.

Sets up 2 VERY interesting games

PC vs Whitley

Harlan Co vs Letcher Central

Like I said before, PC was the only team from District 7 I felt had a chance to win the region, and they took the first step.

But Whitley is a FAR CRY from PCC. I do think that PC can score on Whitley. They have a ton of weapons. But to win they MUST stop Whitley's running attack which is getting better and better. Their O line is one of the best in the region.

Both these 2nd round games should be HUM DINGERS!!!!

I agree with you on the 4 seed this was one that could have happend if PC didn't take care of business but they did. Those second round games are going to be good.

Nice job Pulaski, keep it going!

Was PC ever in the game? Were there some big plays or turnovers that made a difference?

Congratulations to the Maroons

I really think you are right on track with these 2 second round games. Both should be excellent contests!

Not only did Eastham have a great game throwing the ball, he was smart in his decision making. Pulaski dominated early, and by halftime seemed to let up. Perry came out in the second half and put up a fight, cutting it to 28-21. Then, for some unexplained reason, Perry kicked it deep to RC White!! Not a smart move! Even though Pulaski only had 10 players on the field, White put the game out of reach with the kick return TD.

Some were saying last week that Perry was a little faster than Pulaski position for position. That could not be further from what went on Friday night. Pulaski showed they were faster at just about every position, especially with RC White, Steve McQueen, and Alex Abner.

On a side note... It was great to see Brian Barnett back on the field after missing almost 2 full seasons due to injury! Just another weapon the Maroons get back for this Friday night.
