Weaver and Tillman looked good for the Panthers. Lawson is a stud for Williamsburg. Game came down to the last 20 seconds - very exciting.

Little Closer than I thought it would be. The Close win will pay off for the Panthers in the future.

What kind if numbers did Quan Weaver have for Frankfort? I think he is going to be an outstanding running back this year and next. He has good size (6'1" / 195). He is a monster on defense, too.

I thought Williamsburg would be better than they are.

Quan is a senior isn't he, one of my favorite players around the state, very nice kid when I have spoke with him.

Wburg lost a couple of fumbles inside the Red Zone early in the game. Frankfort scored one defensive TD. Jackets lost composure in the third, and had a player ejected........then had a controversal call late that went against them...was the TD good or was he Out of Bounds.....overall a solid game. For the Burg to take the next step and win a Region they have to play games against teams like Frankfort. Jellico, McCreary...etc will not prepare them for the Beechwood's of the world.

Riherd's has Weaver listed as a junior. He is strong and fast. He gained over a 1,000 yards last year as a sophomore. And no, I am not related to him....LOL. Just a Panther alumni and fan.

Turnovers, penalties, and not scoring in the redzone killed Williamsburg...Overall good effort for the Jackets...

It was a hard fought game. Congrats to both teams. Wburg QB is pretty darn good.

 

I think both teams came out flat due to the long delay before the game. Frankfort has to do a better job of tackling and getting in shape. To many kids cramping.

 

Hats off to the Panthers on the goal-line stand at the end of the game 7 plays inside the the 12 with under a minute to go.

It seems their Defense was solid enough against a much faster Frankfort team. That has to be a positive for Coach Herron. He will not face that kind of speed until late in the playoffs. If they can handle the big, banger run over you ground attack in the district he maybe in the Catbird seat. This game seemed to be alot like the Campbellsville playoff game last year for the Jackets. They really need to get over the Hump and win one of these games to soldify their status as a challenger.
