Frankfort 19 Williamsburg 14

Featured Replies

I feel like with the athletes Frankfort has, they are very undisciplined and undercoached.

Good win but there is a lot to work on. Up front they need better tempo and to be more physical.

Williamsburg had five turnovers. Int. in the redzone, snap over the Qb's head in the redzone, fumble returned for a TD ,a fumble on Frankfort's 25, and a fumble on a kickoff return. Williamsburg had over 400 yards offense, around 250 passing and 150 rushing. they had a chance to win the game on the last drive but a fumble on a wide open sweep and a dropped ball in the endzone cost them the win.

Sounds like they had more than a chance.

A team wins on the road, having replaced the entire offensive line and the first back-up on the line, an athlete (QB) playing at UK this year, two corners and free safety, its starting receivers, and most of the starting defensive line and people come on here and say "with all of the athletes they have, they are undisciplined" and that the offensive line coach has to do a better job, and "come back Aklin".

Holy Cow - do you assume in h.s. that you can recruit position players and should have replacements that are at least as good as the players who left?

Do you know that Frankfort had a whopping 28 players to come out this year and that there was not even a middle school football team last year? Do you also know that Foley and Buckett and Caoch Rob are not going to play people who don't come to practice and do the things they ask. You want them to put people on the field that you believe are good athletes and they may have excelled for the "Bengals" but how good are they coming to work everyday and becoming a part of the team and making the grades, etc.

This staff does a great job with the kids they have (fewer than 300 in the h.s.) and facilities they have and the money the district has. None or those things are a fault of anyone, but they all must be taken into consideration when noting the accomplishments of this coaching staff and the players over the last 6 years.

I hope they are around for a long time and continue to do the work they are doing.

Are you serious, they couldn't stop the passing game. That #13 from W'burg was everywhere. He even had one catch for almost 80 yds that was a td.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had almost 150 rec. yards on them.

I thought Frankfort did a good job on the passing game, Williamsburg was

probably 18 for 80 passing, Frankfort had on interception they dropped and came back a few plays later and got an interception. Williamsburg only looks for 2 recievers this will end up hurting them as the season goes on. They look to pass to Brock and Brown. Pettite was split out with his receiver 10 yards from the line of scrimmage and his first step was back, I thought they should have stood straight up and thrown to him until the Defensive back decided to join the game. Most passes were for 10 yards and then yards came after the catch by Brock.

The running game was really non existany by the runningbacks one carry for about 45 yards the rest was for a loss. Most yards came by a very quick

QB from pressure he was getting.

Jackets are very talented and need to use all the tools thay have and get a little more discipline, (player charging the field and penalties).

All in all I see the Jackets have an outstanding year when they come together

and start looking at all options.

Bleed Blue, the end result was 14 points....If the kid did have 150, he would have had 350 if Hall and Tillman had not put the clamps on him....I was very impressed with the Triggerman from The Burg....

Frankfort my have 28 kids but Williamsburg has about 30, and I would bet money that Frankfort is a heck of a lot faster than that Williamsburg team.

Frankfort is expected to be good every year. That is what happens when you are successful.

18 for 80??????? No there is no way that the QB's completion percentage was that low and he uses all of his Recievers. Pettit had almost 80 yards recieving. You must have been at a different game or something cause im not sure where you're getting 18 for 80.:thumb:

Folks, let me remind you of rule #4:No school-specific (or general) recruiting comments, or allegations of KHSAA rules violations by any school, coach, player or booster are allowed. No talking about where any player lives, has lived, or where they are from in a recruiting context. This is not the place to report KHSAA violations. Feel free to contact www.khsaa.org to report such violations, but do not discuss violations here.

Some of you are walking a thin line in this thread and may end up on the outside looking in.
