In the baseball playoffs, isn't the system setup that you meet the same regions/teams before the finals each and every year? There isn't a draw is there?

Mason by 7 since it is at Maysville. Coach Kelsch will have the Lady Polar Bears playing hard and it will be a very close and tight game with Mason pulling it out by making some free throws in the last 30-45 seconds.

With all of the complaints on the playoff system, I am sure the players, school and fans of the two teams that will win the state tournament that many of you are saying shouldn't be there, won't complain or be unhappy or think that they have won a tainted championship.

Except for the traveling, no different than the playoff systems of many of the other KHSAA sports.

Pendleton County has never played in the 9th region and I mentioned three.

Talbert Turner, 14th in the state in scoring for a career with 3,183 points and Bobby Wyatt from Pendleton County. Also, Rick Elrod from Pendleton County was drafted by the Phoenix Suns after playing at Georgetown College. Wasn't there a real good player from Grant County back in the late 70's and 80's. Admittingly, I don't know the boys side names as much as I would know the girls' side.

Grant County, Pendleton County, Walton-Verona, Campbell County, Brossart, Calvary Christian, Scott, Silver Grove all can have claims on being in NKY but not the 9th region. Thread called for greatest players of all time in the 9th region. Another thread can call for the greatest players of all time in NKY. Two different subjects even though admittingly some of the names will be the same.

Ed Cravens at Campbell County does a very good job and they should be in the top 10.

Just for the record, the thread asked for best players from the 9th REGION NOT NKY. Contrary to the way most think in here, the 9th region is NOT all of NKY. There are other schools that would be NKY but NOT in the 9th Region. Many on here are saying best players from NKY. Their lists would be wrong as many NKY players who are not 9th region would have been left out.

Let's take a hypothetical but based in reality situation. 3 of 5 starters for V and another 2-3 subs play soccer and are still alive in the postseason. 5-6 players play football and the season is still going on. Another 1-2 run cross country. So, out of a V/JV squad of 15-17 players, you could easily be missing 10-12 of your core players. Plus, you have probably been doing open gyms/conditioning for 3-5 weeks. That gets old. And seriously, is ONE DAY of practice almost 5 months BEFORE district tournament going to damage your chances of winning districts?
