  1. Republicans have problem with Obama trying to force churches to HAVE to provide birth control on health plans and Democrats turn it into attack on women. Democrat tries to win votes by potraying Romneys as out of touch wealthy people and Republicans turn it into attack on women. Nothing but typical political theater instead of being leaders and leading.
  2. KRS statue says that no body outside of Ky school board or its designee can prohibit 5th up from trying out for varsity team. They make this policy and some class A schools will not be able field teams. Just like a bunch of politicians to decide they know what is best for the kids in a community than the parents and school personnel of that community. And they wonder why our confidence in them is waning.
  3. Softball threafs should be about the teen athletes who played the game. Adults want to take shots at each other start a thread in general discussion and go out it. For game threads, can we please remove the adult egoes and comment on the success of the players. If you'll remember the games are about THEM!!!! I applaud anyone who wants to post a thread giving credit to student athletes successes.
  4. To clarify, administrator retiring has been known all year not that Coach Simms would be named to that position.
  5. To match Montgomery's pursuit of Happiness, i think PC should try to take a trip down Transy LANE or SHIELDS themselves with NKU power considering the two schools always draw each other in regional tourney. Btw, I am joshing!
  6. You must have missed the first part that said Coach Simms was promoted to assistant principal for an administrator retiring and that has been known all school year. And is a position that has district policy that you cannot be a varsity coach.
  7. What is the status of Anthony Bennett coming to UK?
  8. Congrats to Coach True!! Great guy who I'll miss in the stands scouting opponents and talking with.
  9. One of the best things about BGP is that every poster has no race or gender till they state theirs. Everyone is judged on the quality of their posts to alter a famous MLK quote.
  10. Was reading "Last Great Game" today and got to this point of book. "We retire thee jerseys in honor of four young men who have been the heart and soul of our basketball program the past three years," said Newton to the crowd. "Three years ago our basketball program was devastated. Today it is on top, due largely to four young men who perserved, who weathered the hard times and brought the good times back to Kentucky basketball. Their contributions to UK basletball cannot be measured in statistics or record books."
  11. Did not and wont't vote for him but i liked seeing him talk about coaching his daughter's team. I could see a nation of young girls being encouraged to play or keep playing from sitting in their living rooms and seeing tjis interview.
  12. Racists are idiots who grasp on anything that they can twist to suport their idiocy. We need to encourage them to ride bikes without helmets, run with scissors and cross streets without looking.
  13. Davis not eligible for 5 years per Oscar Combs report. Plenty of time for Delk to have his # retired
  14. Didn't realize that was a requirement...O wait it's not.
  15. Not till Tony Delk and arguably Tayshun Prince's is retired
  16. Not a relevant question for Jesus as Lord and Savior
  17. To paraphrase the great philosopher Bill Engvall, "you can't fix stupid."
  18. Standing up takes a more concerted effort than it used to.
  19. After reading the posts since my first post in this thread, nothing has changed my mind. He's an idiot.
  20. I was and my self esteem was so devastated from it, I had to appear on an Oprah, Dr Phil, Dr Oz, AND a Rikki Lake show to have it rebuilt.
  21. Had a middle school teacher who had a canoe paddle.
