  1. From the article linked in the first post.... Her fertility doctor has not been identified. Her mother told the Los Angeles Times all the children came from the same sperm donor but she declined to identify him.
  2. I sat by the St. Patrick bench and I can tell you that was the coach's message to her team as Pendleton's 3 point barrage brought them back into the game.
  3. Who said anything about remarrying preventing you from becoming a Christian? It says it is a sin. If committing a sin prevents you from becoming a Christian a) than none of us EVER will become a Christian; b) than it stands in contrast to the reason why Jesus had to come to this planet and sacrifice himself for our sins. I guarantee you that I will screw up something today and sin. No different than anyone else's sin that they create. Those sins don't prevent me from being a Christian. Asking for forgiveness and trying to live a sinless life (which by the way I will fail at) is what my reaction should be. The Scripture indicates nothing about never ever being able to be a Christian. Isn't it great that Christ came to remove from God's view ALL the times we mess up in our lives.
  4. The father is a sperm donor. Not sure sperm donors have to pay child support do they?
  5. Lots of 3's made tonight in Falmouth. Tayler Black set a school record for made 3's in a game with 7. All in the 2nd half. 26 points in the half, 28 for the game. Pendleton hit 11 of 19 for the game. But too many turnovers led to too many Saints' points and St. Pat gets the win.
  6. I don't give a rat's pootootie about LBBC's view. I am trying to study and learn about God's view. My comment was in response to ace saying he was not going to try and figure out God's view but rather go on his view. My comment is that his and I's view are irrelevant as well as TB&G's view. IT IS God's view that we best be trying to figure out because on Judgement Day, our view and a $1.00 will get you a McDouble at McDonald's.
  7. I have debated this on here several times but it has been a while so let me throw another wrench in the works. What is marriage to God? Is God limited to defining a marriage when a preacher or justice of the peace or the Elvis impersonator in Vegas says they are now legally married? Are you telling me that God is limited on seeing something as a marriage until an Elvis personator says that it is a marriage? If a couple gets married and God is not part of the ceremony, their life or their marriage, does God even recognize it as a marriage? Maybe in God's eyes a marriage is much different than what we see as a marriage. I am beginning to wonder if that first act of sexual intercourse does not tie us to that person more in God's eyes than we realize. And for the record, that is the view (God's eyes) that I care about more than anyone or anything else's.
  8. I bet the Pharisees thought the same thing as they got rid of some of the things they did but thought and rationalize to the rules they came up with. The Bible is full of stories of people ignoring what God said and rationalizing what they thought instead of what God said. Jonah is a good example of that. Surely, God didn't want him to go and be God's witness for salvation to these horrible group of people called the Ninevites.
  9. I understand and really side with you on your post. But Christianity is not LBBC's to decide what goes and what does not. This is what Christ said, whether I like it or not. NOW, if there is other Scripture that indicates something different, I would love to read it and study it. I long for that Scripture so that there is another option. But if I am to follow Christ and this is what he said and nothing is added to it in other Scripture, than I don't have much choice in the matter. Let me also add that all sin is forgiven by and through Christ if we repent and truly ask for His forgiveness and then lead a life that TRIES to avoid sin.
  10. Joe Scarbrough who was firmly in Obama's camp this election said this morning that no economist is supporting the House stimulus plan as economic stimulus.
  11. Wonder if Jesus meant unborn children as ONE of those least? What is more least than an unborn child? Also, on Judgement Day and God is putting forth what ace has done, will it be Ace's view (in which you referenced earlier) or will it be God's view of how things should have gone? If it is God's view, is it not wise than for us to try and seek that view (reading God's mind for the PC of today's society) rather than just do what we think is right?
  12. The player should be the first person to talk to the coach. It is a life learning moment for the player. If the child has a problem at McDonald's where they work, are the parents going into talk to the manager or is the child? The child is there to learn a lesson for the rest of their life.
  13. You Adam argument would have weight if an unborn baby didn't have a heartbeat, was moving around, could feel things, etc, etc. THere is a difference between Adam when he was formed and could do none of these things and an unborn child. Your argument, when considering what an unborn child can do while in the womb, ends up supporting my position more than it does yours. Since you do not know what God thinks and therefore not how you think he would view it, why not the same position on the treatment of those who live in poverty? Good discussion that is beyond the normal discussion on abortion.
  14. Let's see what Jesus had to say. Matthew 5:30-32 (New International Version) Divorce 31"It has been said, 'Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.'[a] 32But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery. Well that seems pretty clear on the issue.
  15. With the way the storm is changing it's mind so much, I figure it should be named after a woman.:lol::lol::lol:
  16. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=60&chapter=3&version=31 Warning Against Idleness 6In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching[a] you received from us. 7For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, 8nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. 9We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to make ourselves a model for you to follow. 10For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." 11We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies. 12Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the bread they eat. 13And as for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right. 14If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of him. Do not associate with him, in order that he may feel ashamed. 15Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother. Special Greetings 16Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. 17I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand, which is the distinguishing mark in all my letters. This is how I write. 18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
  17. I think she is just postioning herself for a Jenny Craig spokeswoman position or She had a horrible reaction to that face medicine she sells and swelled up from it or She is tired of her man finding himself on the turf from sacks and beefing up to tryout as an OL for the Cowboys.
  18. Bobby Knight is one of my favorite coaches of all time. I wouldn't hire him if I was Alabama or Georgia. I would want someone who could build a program and be there for the next 5-10 years.
  19. That limit to 6 sure leaves a bunch of deserving players out. I would add Ken Anderson and Kenny Riley to the list.
  20. Has to be disappointing for the Camels as I have heard a bunch about them being one of the top teams in the 10th region and Mason seemed to handle them by that final score.
  21. You do remember that Meeks was a FRESHMEN in the one year that Tubby coached him? As for BCG, has not had near enough time to be seriously judged on his ability to coach at UK. As with Tubby, another indication of a jumpy UK fanbase getting concerned.
  22. IMVHO, there is a certain coach in Minnesota that would be one of them. Is there a smilie for stirring the pot?:lol::jump::popcorn::popcorn:
