If the head to head had been a real game, I agree! But since it was just a scrimmage and I do agree with alot of the Belfry posters that Belfry does not show everything they have in scrimmages, although I don't think we did either. Belfry is a well respected program and until they lose a game, I must agree with their placement ahead of us.

I love it! Its great having Highlands and Cov. Cath. in our region. If your going to be the best, you've got to beat the best and I'm sure most people would admit that the NKY teams have been the best that 3A has had to offer year in and year out.

I know Coal Grove well. They will have one of the biggest and strongest O-lines you will go against. They run the ball very effectively. I do think LC will probably win the game, but it will be a clsoe one.

With the right coaching staff and being a private school in the athlete rich Ashland area, I think they could definately build a strong program.

I got to the Cumberland Valley Bowl very early and watched all of the Holmes, SL game. Holmes is much improved over last year and they would be my pick.

If JC had been around before 1957, maybe we could lay claim to a state championship. Heck, none of our county schools even had football before consolidating into JCHS.

He is more of a scrambling QB! He is a very effective runner as well as thrower.

I think many of you have been offended by remarks made by a coach before a big game and used as means of getting "HIS" team fired up. Nothing more nothing less. If he had made the comments in a newspaper, then he would be calling teams out. I think this entire thread is just silly!

I didn't want to say just yet, but bermuda is great. With proper nutrition and water it will repair itself very quickly and really holds up well under heavy use.

At Johnson Central we have an imaculately maintained bermuda grass field that is probably one of the best east of Lexington. I know that Prestonsburg just installed new turf, but I'm not sure what type of grass they used. What do you think is the best for football?

I would have to go with Putnam on all counts except for parking. Putnam is a very nice stadium, but having been built in the late 20's it is in need of updating in the locker rooms. I was not real impressed with the turf (playing surface) when we played last year. But I guess you have to expect a field to be in bad shape late in the year. Alot of history at that old stadium.

WYMT website does have the air time listed as 12:00 noon on Saturday.

This could be a closer game than some JC fans want to believe. NL has some pretty nice looking athletes and the Asher kid is a horse. JC better come ready to play in this one. I went down and watched them scrimmage Rock and take away some big plays for Rock, they played pretty well against a team that by all account should be a carpet worthy team in December. That said, I think Coach Matney and staff will have them ready to play and fired-up. JC in a close game over a much improved NL team.
