As much as I love JC, I think Bell probably has the edge right now in the region. Then I think JC and Rock. As for this thread I think Highlands will be the team to beat this year.

I like it and hope we are the best, but I think Bell's gonna be there at the end with us or Rock.

I think Bell Co. has showed the most so far. I would put them #1. The rest of my top 5 are in a 2 way tie for #2. JC and Rock. #4 Ashland and #5 Mason.

How would you rank Region 4, 3A? Is Rock still the best or do you go with Johnson Central.......maybe everyone's forgetting about Bell Co. Lets hear it.

I think they still will finish second in their district and play at home in the playoffs in the first round. But, they're definately not where they were last year.

I've been hearing that some of L.C.'s starters have been talkin' smack, saying how there going to take out some of J.C.'s starters (names mentioned have been Grimm, Dials, Dillon and Ratliff, but he's already out). JC's will not come into this game overlooking Lawrence and I believe our defense has another dominating performance. JC will have a few of their missing starters back this week. I would agree with that. I think the rest of the top 10-12 are pretty even.

I heard that B.S. came into town yesterday afternoon and stayed at the Ramada Inn. I also heard that they practiced with Paintsville and their coaching staff were giving them pointers on how to beat us........ I believe the gloves just came off for the Apple Bowl!

I'm sure that if JC were 1A and in the same region as Paintsville, they might have went maybe a little further in the playoffs!! Come on get real! You can't compare Paintsville's success in there 1A region to JC's lack of it in 3A. Apples and oranges. I'd like to see both of them go deep in the playoff. I want JC to be the top of the poll on December 3rd. Other than that I could care less if we are even in a poll or not!

I'm sorry, but I thought we were talking about rankings for 2006 and not 2005. JC is a much better team this year. Much more balanced with a real passing threat and a much better pass D. I don't care if we're in a top ten or not, but what bothers me is that you're judging this years team by last years results. Judge them according to their success this year, we already know what happened last year!

Get in the nest early! It will be packed. JC's freshmen team will be playing South Point at 6:00, warming up the crowd for the big dance at 7:30.

I'll predict 1-4 with them crushing P-Burg! No disrespct.....I don't know that we would do much much better. Pretty good competition!

Coach McCoy is a classy guy and he will get them going in the right direction sooner than most think.

Actually if you count all of the late freshman arrivals that has the fresh class up to 29, we will be dressing anywhere from 79-82 Friday night, depending on a couple of kids out with illness' and minor injuries from practice.

I did'nt want to say that because then I'm a braggn' JC'er who's blinded by our little bit of success. I think most people who know me think I error to the cautious side. But, I did see N.L. and Rock scrimmage and I would tend to agree with you, but the season's young and anything can happen. Thanks for the props!

Luckily, how we faired in the playoffs last year has little impact on our ranking this year. As for the loss of Blume, call N. Laurel and ask them if we were able to run the ball without Ron.
