LETS GET IT STARTED! The 2006 Regular season is finally here. Lets hear everyones predictions on what should be a very good game in the Cumberland Valley Bowl which will also be broadcast on WYMT. My prediction:

JC: 28

NL:14

Johnson Central - 22

North Laurel - 12

what does NL return this year?

JC 40, NL 6

JC 36

NL 12

GO Eagles!!!

I've heard that WYMT is televising this game live, and I've also heard that it won't be shown until noon Saturday. Anyone know?

what does NL return this year?

Shawn Asher, Ryan Brandenburg and Chris Maggard are the top returning players for the Jaguars this season. They will have a new QB, 2-3 new offensive linemen, new CB and new LB's, but return the leading scorer (Asher). They have a very similar team to last year but without Cessna and Sizemore. They also lost one of their better returning DB's and WR's in Lowell Adams to a broken collarbone. Hate to see that happen to a senior.

I thought they would be better than what they have shown in the scrimmages, but I think they were holding back a lot as well.

This could be a closer game than some JC fans want to believe. NL has some pretty nice looking athletes and the Asher kid is a horse. JC better come ready to play in this one. I went down and watched them scrimmage Rock and take away some big plays for Rock, they played pretty well against a team that by all account should be a carpet worthy team in December.

That said, I think Coach Matney and staff will have them ready to play and fired-up. JC in a close game over a much improved NL team.

WYMT website does have the air time listed as 12:00 noon on Saturday.

JC-24 NL 21

NL has not shown much offensively in their 2 scrimmages. Look for them to open up their offense, and get things rolling. JC will be tough, as always, but I think NL will win their home opener.

NL 17
