In my oppion it may have been Covington Holmes or Raceland, neither were really picked to do well in there games. I welcome all comments on this one, just take it easy on the Dawg.:laugh:

I'd say Rowan Co and maybe Bath Co. I felt like Raceland had a great chance to beat Ashland.

I would say Raceland.

The Scott Eagles. Even though they lost a heartbreaker to Holy Cross, I thought the Eagles played very well (at least the time I was at the game.) If they keep improving each week, the season in Taylor Mill might not be as gloomy as a lot of people predicted. (I still don't think they make the playoffs, but they could give some of the top dogs in that district big time fits.)

I got to the Cumberland Valley Bowl very early and watched all of the Holmes, SL game. Holmes is much improved over last year and they would be my pick.

Raceland. And I would also say I was suprised the Belfry game was so close.

Raceland-Great win for the Rams

Corbin-I thought Rockcastle would handle them

Pikeville-played Henry Clay tougher than I expected

Johnson Central-I expected them to win but not that easily

Fairview-They may have been favored for all I know but I expected Paintsville to beat them

Trigg County only throwing 2 passes in their win.

Raceland beating Ashland, while maybe a mild upset, was no big surprise in this area...This is supposed to be Raceland's best team in years & not one of Ashland's best...

Johnson Central was dominate in their win. Their defense is very solid this season.

 

Rockcastle County's defense, holding Corbin to only 40 yards of offense? Wow.

 

Corbin's defense keeping Rockcastle out of the end zone? Oh my!
