Agree.:thumb: GCL South is amazing. Moeller, Elder, LaSalle, and St. X all won a Division I State Championship within an 8 or 10 year span and just last week they were 1-4 in the Cincinnati area coaches poll. But Moeller #1 in the NATION?....I can sum it up in two words...not a chance!

St. Henry by 20?!?!?! Beechwood has been playing pretty well lately, with the exception of the Heritage game (for some reason they always seem to give them a really tough game). I hope it's not 20....actually, I think (hope) they can hang in there until the second half and give them a scare. NCC and Brossart roll. St. Henry in a close one in the 9th, Brossart rolls all the way in the 10th.

Yeah, we all got that. It DOES depend on who touched it (or didn't touch it)last as well, as cshs just pointed out with his example. Just saying that this rule is a little confusing because it doesn't follow the logic of the other rules. In this example, Team A controlled it last and touched it last and it is not a violation.

He was also the last one to touch it before it goes into the backcourt, which usually results in a violation, which is why it doesn't make much sense.

I know I'm jumping in a little late here but do you guys have a rule book or can you point me in the direction to find this ruling? I don't think this is correct the way you are stating it. There is no "team control" during a shot but the shot attempt ends when it comes back down to a rebounder or to the ground. If there were no team control throughout a shot then you would go to a jump ball when a shot bounces over the backboard but you don't, it is turned over to the other team because the offense was the last team to possess it. Same thing would apply here and it would be a violation.

Exactly, they use it in AAU and showcases because those girls will be playing college ball---they ARE preparing them for the next level. However, 95% or more of the girls in high school basketball will NOT and it would be bad for a large majority of teams and the game in general.

If a team could run and create transition opportunities, they would do it without a shot clock. However many times the shot clock came into play in a high school game would be more times that a forced shot would come into play---which would lower FG%--because very few girls can create a quality shot in a short period of time.

Did they shoot 90% or something? Was Heritage missing some players? I can't believe the margin in this one---not implying anything at all and I take your word for it that it was not run up, it's just that these teams are much closer than that and went to overtime earlier in the year, didn't they?

Ludlow made a great effort. I don't think Beechwood was planning on Logan getting 21 but he was hot from three. A road win is a road win in the Conference (they lost there last year). That's five in a row for Beechwood. They have been playing pretty well lately and they are getting healthy. Hopefully, both of those things continue in the All "A" next week.

I was told that they were really close to landing a BIG name at one point in the process. True? Sounds like one of those too good to be true rumors.

I don't think the teaching job got him tick off as much as the coaching job and how it was handled. As sticky mitts referred to, there's more to it than that.

OMG!!! Don't start with that again. Can we at least wait a year to see if they stick around before we do all that again?

TubbyCat, come on, 34 wins in three seasons compared to 14 the previous three. Why is there always one guy that has to continue to bash a coach on his way out when it is obvious that he did a good job? Just say you didn't like his style, the way he handled players or parents, whatever; just don't say he won't be missed when it's obvious what he did had a positive impact there.

I really don't think you do. There are only four people who would know---Wolfzorn, the AD, the Principal, and the Super. Unless you can post that you have information from one of those four or someone close to them, you don't know. Since I'm sure you "know" and will have an answer, tell us what they told him when they let him go, too.

I had not been on BGP for several weeks and just checked back in a few days ago and realized one thing about coaches leaving their jobs---no matter how good of a coach they are or how good of a job they did, there is one guy on every thread who will bash the coach for personal reasons no matter what (good check the Bracken, Pendleton, Ashland, etc. coaches thread about them leaving). Btownguy, you are that guy. Congratulations. Your PM to me proved it even more than your posts on here. You have continuously changed you story and your facts about things that you could not possibly know about. You alway post that "I heard" this or "I heard that". You "heard around town" about this or that--those are called rumors and usually are 1/2 true (or less than that). The latest of these posts prove it. He WAS hand-delivered a letter about his basketball job (that was pointed out weeks ago). That wouldn't tick you off? Remember, that is what he was upset about which is why he missed days in May (do we have to go over all of this again?).

In talking to someone from Bellevue this summer, it's pretty safe to say that this would not have happened if this was the football coaching position being filled--for obvious reasons (re #1 in your list).
