  1. http://www.georgetowncollegeathletics.com/Tiger_Radio/ Click on come with us live. The talk show was from Monday. I was wrong about the 2 pics. Only one. The other was ruled out of bounds. I wish nothing but the best for this young man and the team. It's my opinion that they are wasting some very good talent. Just an opinion. I'm not taking anything away from your friend. He's a good football player and seems to be a very competative young man.
  2. you need to listen to the talk show before stating it's a "croc". The statement came directley from Cronin's mouth. Check your facts. As far as the dislike for Lewis, there is none. I just think they have better QB's. His decision making abilities are not on par for a 5th yr. Senior. I wish him the best. He was benches last year, he will be benched again when Mathews is healthy. Don't kid yourself. He is not the best man for the job.IMO. I'm not the only person with this opinion. You may want to listen to the announcer's.
  3. After Thursdays game; is this still your opinion? Two more picks and no TD's. 1 pass complted to a receiver for 14 yards. 5/13/2 ints. 44yards. According to the talk show monday; Lewis comes to Cronin and states he doesn't feel comfortable throwing the ball. Union had no problem throwing the ball for 215 and 2 tds. The "D" and the running game was great. Those young men took the game over.
  4. Trying to put people in positions they don't belong. Get your playmakers touches and let your role players do their jobs. They have the talent, but have not been using them. Use your talent. They have been struggling at QB. Guess what, you have a runner-up Mr. Football in Ammons. 10,000 yrd. passer and 4,000 yrd rusher. Give the defense something to think about. He's thrown a few passes. Maybe he still has what it takes. Maybe not. Nobody knows because the coaching staff hasn't tried him. Use him for now. Mathews should be back. Switch then or don't, depends on how the team is doing. Main thing is win. Georgetown has a better shot with a dual threat like Ammons at the helm.
  5. Stats don't say he can get the job done. 14 int's and 13 tds in 11 games. These are the facts. Pure and simple. I hope your correct. I would love to see him do well. I have watched every single game he's played in as the starter and they have better QB's on the team. IMO He wasn't benched for the last game of the season so Mathews could play for no reason. Conference play starts Thursday. I hope he finds a way to win. I'm not sure that another .500 season is acceptable.
  6. Ammons has had 11 touches this season and leads the team in offense. Let him touch it 45 times a game and see what happens. Let's not forget the young man also rushed for 4,000 yards and 52 td's. It's a waste IMO. You have Minus, Madon and Burke that need to step up.
  7. Might be the time to give him a shot at QB. Glad to see GC get the win, but I wouldn't consider 7 of 15 with 2 int's and no TD's fine. IMO
  8. I'm not sure about the other QB's, but I believe they have a QB on the roster that threw for 10,000+ yards in Ky. Might be the right time to see what he has to offer.
  9. Ill take Franklin County by 14. This is what I like to call a "Fish Bowl Game." Everyone in town will be out watching this game, and for some reason that's about the only thing that has gotten Franklin Co. motivated the past few seasons.
  10. This young man has taken a program and put them on the map. The only thing he has left is to win a state championship.
  11. i think the messege they are trying to send to their players is the right one...The panthers last friday night played their hearts out, but when the goin got rough they didnt seem to try to fight back...i think what the coaches are trying to do is teach them that if they want to be a championship team then they need to respond like one...i support the decision to do what they feel is necessary to get that point across to their players...Go panthers Fhs-54 BC- 6 at half...
  12. Depth is going to count for a lot when your playing against an offense like Franklin's. i havent had the privilege of seeing the Wildcats play yet, but you have to have respect for teams that have 20 players and compete with some good teams. i hope to see Dearborne at the game friday night...
  13. i think this will be an excellent test for both of these teams. I've been to these games for the past 4 years and they r some of the hardest hitting game that i have seen. both teams will have something to prove, i will be anxious to see if franklin county can stop fhs' speed again and if fhs can finally break the 3 year curse and win the city title...
  14. Sean Thompson was one passing touchdown shy of tying the schools single game record of six. Franklin settled down after a sub-par first quarter, they played with more fire and more excitement after the first quarter. They need that fire if they plan to win next week against a very good Frankfort High team
  15. I hear that loud and clear Oldone. Given the opportunity, he has the heart and talent it takes to compete at any level.
