What regions will swap officials in the post season???

Featured Replies

It happens every year and just wanted to know if anyone knew of what regions will be swapping their officials with other regions.

I think it's definitely a good idea because you can't have as many claims as to an official working games where he/she is known for not getting along with certain coaches.

I know the last couple years, the 13th and 12th regions have swapped officials.

I am not sure as to what regions are swapping officials this season but I can see arguments both ways. You don't have some of the "good old boys" calling big games and favoring a certain team, but on the other hand the officials that go out of region have no accountability when it comes to ratings for the next season. I think both ways can be justified but I would like to see officials that I am used to seeing throughout the season and knowing how they are likely to call the game.

The 16th has four I will trade you for two of yours, and a first round draft pick next year.:D

The 12th region and (I think the 15th region will be swapping)

Somebody just take the 8th region...........please!!!

Hallelujah! Can I get an AMEN!

The 12th traded with the 14th last year, and I'm pretty sure they are doing it again this year.

The 14th region officials did a good job last year calling the 12th region tournament.

I think the 12th region has some of the best refs in the state so it should be an equitable swap.

Over the years, once Officials are exchanged during Tournament time, is there a style of calling difference, once a new Region is brought in.

Perhaps eliminate hand-checks, or allows more physical play, etc....or are they fairly similar, from what most of you have seen....Thoughts

Whoever gets the officials from the 11th, prepare to play football without pads.

May God have mercy on the 13th region, they get our refs lol. God bless their hearts. We have a couple good ones, but not much haha.

The 16th Region should trade with another region. Unfortunately, that will not be the case.

Referees are human beings and, like the rest of us, have their own likes and dislikes as well as their own prejudices. That doesn't mean they "cheat". It means that, as human beings, they cannot always be unbiased. They are not computers.

All referees have their favorites and their not so favorites. Whether it is admitted or not, these natural tendencies play a role in whistle blowing.

Therefore, having referees for the tournaments from another region makes sense because the "politics", by commission or by omission and by design or by chance, are much less likely to influence the outcome of a game.
