  1. PLEASE! some of those sophomores have 3 years starting varsity experience. I am in no way downing them. I wish them all the luck and will be rooting for them come game time, but don't call them young.
  2. I think Bath can pull this one out. Good luck tonight guys!
  3. Absolutely....I will never agree with any other person 100% of the time on anything. If it is another person that thinks they know more about my kid than me, I'll probably NEVER agree with them. The thing is...when you're dealing with teenagers........parents are always the last to know anything. The coach probably does know more about my teenager than I do. Man, that hurt.
  4. WHAT! We have to keep them?!? Is it the trade value??? I have baseball cards, bubblegum.....Come on! What will it take?
  5. Do you think, maybe, it might have made him a better player because he had to work for it. If it's easy, why try. If something is always given to you, why put forth any extra effort. I think too often today parents try to fight battles for their kids. We are raising a whole generation of kids who have, too often, had everything handed to them. I hate to think what is going to happen when these kids hit the real world.
  6. WTG Bath county. Way to step up BIG before districts.
  7. I'm pretty sure you set behind me when we played Elliott!:walk:
  8. Good post doc! I am a parent, but I know that both of these teams would be playing closer to their potential if they did NOT have to learn a new coaching style every year. Clemons, Metz, well, the whole team in Bath Co. is just starting to mesh. They could have been winning games all along, IMHO. Menifee has some good players as well. Howard is a beast on the inside. They've got a few good perimeter shooters as well. Consistent coaching could have been huge for them. Again, JMHO.
  9. I think the doc is just trying to say he is close to the Rowan County program too. I personally think that parents (I'm assuming you are a parent) too often want to get rid of a coach instead of solving the problem. This, often times, does not help. Look at Bath county, look at Menifee county. Both of these teams would be doing better if not for the many, many coaching changes. JMHO. Although, if you want to get rid of your coach, just lose in the districts next week. That should cinch it
