I would have to say that Fraley from Rose Hill, he has done quite well with the youth he has this year and will continue to have success.

I would also say that Russells coach and Elliot Counties coach as well

It really pains me to say this, but I would have to vote for Buddy Biggs at Ashland.

Why would you "have to"???????????????

My vote would go to Rick May's!!

By far the Coach that has got the most from his team and youth is Rex Cooksey. They may not have had an impressive record but they have had several games that could have went either way. Cooksey & Jeff Hall and the rest of the coaching staff has done an excellent job with Fairview.

Next, would be Coach Fraley at Rose Hill. Great defense, great Kids. I would never have thought by his up tempo game that He played High School ball at...well never mind, we wont hold that against Coach Fraley.

What about Player of the Year? Vanhoose hands down?

Yes.

Coach of the year is tough. Fraley, Biggs, and Mays would be my choices. Dodd has the unfair disadvantage of having the most talent.

I would have to go with Biggs as well. IMO He has done the most with the amount of talent he has to work with. McDavid and Thomas are talented. Wilcox Bonner and Coleman have been very good role players. But there is not much depth there this year.

1. Biggs (Ashland)

2. Dodd (Russell)

3. Mays (Elliot)

4. Fraley (R.H.)

POY - Vanhoose (Russell)

No love for Jim Bob after all he's been through this year?:D This is just a joke - this is only a joke....

I would have to say Biggs as well. Everyone knew Russell and Elliott would be good, they have had the kind of season everyone expected them to have.

Or Sutton for that matter!

I would agree with Buddy Biggs, I think he has done an outstanding job, but a very close second has to go to Tim Fraley at Rose Hill. Biggs has made players like Coleman and Bonner believe they are better players as I believe those two especially Coleman has been the glue to hold the Tomcats together at times.

As I recall, the preseason predictions placed Ashland at second or third in the region. At present, they are probably third. They have won most of the games they should have won and lost almost all of the games they should have lost. No real surprises at all.

If accomplishing about what was expected makes you coach of the year, then I suppose Biggs is a good candidate.

Player of the Year: No contest. VanHoose by a wide margin.
