Nate Newland 6'3 265 Ol/DL from FCHS offered full ride football scholarship at Troy in Alabama! Congrats Nate I hope some of the other schools wake up and make some more offers.:thumb:

Congrats! Franklin Co. has come a long way the last four or so years.

Troy is coached by a Boyle County Rebel alum.:thumb:

I think Tony Franklin will have a nice influence in the future for H.S. kids in KY as they have shown they will recruit the state and open more doors for our kids. I tip my hat to their staff and congrats to Nate along with the Franklin Co program!

Congrats to Nate he is a fine young man. I wish him well. He will be a solid offensive lineman at the next level.

Congrats to Coach Walker and Company for producing such a solid player. Keep up the good work.

Congrats big Nate and also congrats to line coach Ledford. Nate is a great kid and deserves this offer and hopefully many more.

Newland is the real deal. I saw him deadlift over 600 pounds last year at a weightlifting meet. I heard that he was over 1200 pounds (in the big 3 lifts) right now. I saw him play against Lexington Catholic and not only was he blowing up his opponent; he runs extremely well and is very athletic for that size.

Nate is a very hard worker and will be a steal for any coach.

God stuff. Troy is a fine University. That has had lots of success in the Sun Belt. Just curious what number was he.

Congrats to nate Newland ...major milestone.:thumb:

Nate is #76 left tackle on o and d. Nate has deadlifted 600 several times with ease, he squats around 540 low, and cleans 280 plus. he also runs very well. He has given up 2 sacks in the last 2 years with over 650 passing attempts.

That's good football. Nice facilities . Nice stadium.
