KY All Stars Report for Practice

Kentucky's best reported yesterday to UK for their week of practice. I was very impressed with the coaches, staff, etc. The talent is there for sure... if they will (as coach said) check egos at the door and allow themselves to be coached, a KY win is on the horizon! GOOD LUCK MEN! Also, I see that BGP is a proud supporter of this game. The young men may not fully appreciate the support, but the parents sure do. Thanks BGP.

From the listed roster, how many no-shows were there? I have already heard that Revere, the WR/DB from Lexington Catholic, will not play due to his committment to baseball. Have new players been added to replace the no-shows? Congratulations to your son on his selection. :thumb:

Luke McDermott was added on the d-line to to an injury. I'll have to check on any others.

Vince Murray from Ryle starts at third base on the baseball team headed to the final 8 at Applebee's. Not sure about a replacement.

I heard Kent Simpson from Bardstown Bethlehem was added as a ILB...... very solid choice who will represent himself and the state very well..... Interesting note his father played in this game in the mid 80s......

Kent is replacing the player who also plays 3B for Ryle, I believe. Kent is a great player, very worthy, and will be a Praying Colonel next year.

Stopped by their practice yesterday. Some of the players said they had a little trouble with the three-a-days at the beginning of the week, but seemed to have gotten their football legs back by last night.

Has to be Petrino. He is a proven winner when games count.

They'll all play QB. Ammons, Tandy and Petrino. Playing with the same players around them. You be able to judge their individual talent a little better between these young men after the game. They're all deserving of getting the nod or they wouldn't be on the team. Ammons and Tandy will probably play on both sides of the ball.
