Trinity 41 Clay County 37
I don't think there were many, if any, players missing. The starting line-up was shuffled extensively but I don't recall players not being there.

Trinity 41 Clay County 37
The correct final score was 42-38. The goal-tending call was a correct call. The ball was still rolling on the rim when the Clay County player got into the net. I couldn't tell if it would have fallen in for a basket or not. The Clay County coach really showed his rump after that.

Class 6A: Trinity 48 Simon Kenton 0
Why is it classless? Some of you won't let it go. Numerous posters have talked with numerous officials who ALL have said it was a CLEAN HIT. As have the KHSAA folks. What don't you understand about it?

Class 6A: Trinity 48 Simon Kenton 0
I was in the pressbox with several high school football officials. We watched the replay of the hit a number of times. It was agreed all around that the hit was not malicious or intentional. I wish the best to the player and his parents. Congratulations to Simon Kenton for making it to the championship game and good luck next year. Juggernaut, it's football. Hits are part of the game. Sorry you didn't like the play but don't be pounding on the fans and T players. Lighten up, Francis.

Trinity = KY Football King
Larry--don't go on Friday or you will have missed the game. We're playing on Thursday night this week at Eastern.

Trinity = KY Football King
Oh boy, here we go again. When Cincinnati St. X came out on the field at Papa John's the other night, it's the first time in my memory (and I'm in my mid-50s) that I can ever remember an opponent of T or Lou X coming out that had bigger players and a larger number of players than the local team. And Trinity effectively controlled the game and won with a strong effort. So I don't think "numbers" can be the reason. I think it's called teamwork, heart and efficiency. Or, as the decal on the Trinity helmet states, Discipline, Pride, Loyalty and Achievement.

Trinity 17 Cincinnati St. Xavier, OH 6
Homerun, are you serious? If nothing else, last night's win will make the Rocks more determined and respectful of the upcoming job in 2 weeks. Like the Nike slogan, "Just Do It".

Trinity/Lexington Catholic Scrimmage

Ahhh, just a little fodder for the fire!

Trinity 34 St. Xavier 28 (OT)
15,696. A little light, I thought, for a T-X championship, but considering the weather I guess it wasn't too bad.

KHSAA Selling Tapes Of Games????
Shamrock, There was always an ad in the game program about who to contact about buying a tape of the games. I just went through this year's program and there is no such ad. I don't know if that's because of Insight's contract to broadcast the games or not. Probably your best bet is to contact the KHSAA (859-299-5472) and ask for Butch Cope. He'd be able to tell you for sure. Go Rocks!

St. Xavier 24 Trinity 15
I don't mind if X beats Trinity because they play a better game, that's football. But why does Glaser ALWAYS have to show his butt and act like a juvenile?

Trinity vs. Eastern Predictions
Ticky-tacky point of order...the 45-point running clock rule can only be in the second half. :jump:

Trinity/Cincinnati St. Xavier Predictions
I was at a meeting at Trinity tonight and was advised that anyone wanting tickets better get them tomorrow (Tuesday) as they were selling like hotcakes and Trinity didn't get all that many.

Ref Question
I assume Elder was ahead at the time? If the defense intercepts on an overtime possession that effectively ends the other team's chance at scoring. If Elder already had their possession and had scored to go ahead, the game is over when the interception occurs.

Biggest Rivalries
USA Today has said several times (in different years) that Trinity-St. X is the biggest high school football game in the country.

Trinity Named SI Top High School Athletic Program in the State
I think what many of you are missing is that this award is for the best ATHLETIC PROGRAM in the state, not just the best FOOTBALL PROGRAM. Arguing about football is fine, but the award recognizes so much more than that.

Trinity 65 J-Town 57
Final score was 65-57 Trinity. 2 point difference at end of 1st, tied at halftime, 1 point difference at end of 3rd. Wild game to watch.

St. Xavier vs. Trinity ...
While I agree with you looking at the records, it's still a Rocks/Tigers game. I don't care whether it's basketball, football, tiddly-winks or cornhole it could very well go down to the wire. /not counting my chickens...

St. Xavier New Stadium and Athletic Complex...
How about hot dogs from the Speedway across the street?

Male 70 Trinity 53
I had heard that he wanted to but if the game was cancelled then Male would not have had any games between the 5/3 Tournament and the LIT, so they decided to go ahead and play.

Finals attendance down
So when U of L has a conference game scheduled with UConn, along with a nationally televised game being broadcast by one of ESPN's top crews, what is U of L supposed to do? Move it to Sunday after church services?

JAMESTOWN...BURKESVILLE...ALBANY 1053 AM CST THU NOV 30 2006 /1153 AM EST THU NOV 30 2006/ ...A SUDDEN CHANGE FROM VERY MILD AND SHOWERY WEATHER TODAY TO WINTER LIKE CONDITIONS ON FRIDAY... SIGNIFICANT CHANGES ARE IN STORE FOR THE OHIO VALLEY...BEGINNING THIS AFTERNOON. A VERY DYNAMIC STORM SYSTEM INCLUDING AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL PRESS INTO THE NORTHWEST PORTIONS OF THE FORECAST AREA THIS AFTERNOON. THIS FRONT IS EXPECTED TO STALL OUT NEAR THE OHIO RIVER THIS EVENING. THIS WILL CREATE QUITE A GRADIENT OF TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE REGION. TEMPERATURES ACROSS SOUTHERN INDIANA WILL FALL INTO THE UPPER 40S TO THE LOWER 50S BY LATE AFTERNOON...WHILE AREAS SOUTH OF THE OHIO RIVER REMAIN IN THE MID AND UPPER 60S. SCATTERED SHOWERS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA...WITH THE GREATEST CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION MAINLY WEST OF INTERSTATE 65. TONIGHT...A STRONG WAVE OF LOW PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP AND MOVE NORTH ALONG THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY. AS THIS LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM APPROACHES THE AREA...TEMPERATURES ACROSS WILL REMAIN RATHER MILD. IN AREAS NORTH OF THE OHIO RIVER...READINGS WILL WARM BACK UP FROM THE UPPER 40S TO LOWER 50S INTO THE LOWER 60S DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. THE WARM MOIST AIR POOLING AHEAD OF THE FRONT WILL LEAD TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS ACROSS THE REGION. AS THE COLD FRONT SURGES EAST ACROSS KENTUCKY AND INDIANA...A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP AND RACE ACROSS THE BI-STATE REGION DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. A FEW OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS MAY REACH SEVERE LIMITS WITH DAMAGING WINDS BEING THE MAIN SEVERE WEATHER THREAT. GIVEN THE SUBSTANTIAL WIND FIELDS IN PLACE... ISOLATED TORNADOES CAN NOT BE RULED OUT. THE LATEST FORECASTS HAVE THE COLD FRONT WILL PASSING THROUGH THE I-65 CORRIDOR BETWEEN 4 AND 5 AM EST AND EAST OF INTERSTATE 75 BY 700 AM EST FRIDAY MORNING. BEHIND THIS FRONT... MUCH COLDER AIR WILL POUR INTO THE REGION. TEMPERATURES ARE LIKELY TO FALL BY SOME 25 TO 30 DEGREES EARLY FRIDAY MORNING WITH LINGERING SHOWERS BEHIND THE FRONT QUICKLY CHANGING OVER TO LIGHT SNOW. GIVEN THE RECENT WARM WEATHER AND WARM GROUND TEMPERATURES...SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION IS NOT ANTICIPATED...HOWEVER...A LIGHT DUSTING MAY BE POSSIBLE ACROSS SOUTHERN INDIANA...NORTH OF A JASPER TO MADISON LINE. IN ADDITION TO THE COLDER AIR FILTERING IN...THERE WILL BE A TIGHT PRESSURE GRADIENT ACROSS THE AREA RESULTING IN GUSTY WINDS. SOUTHWEST TO WESTERLY WINDS OF 25 TO 30 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED FOR A PERIOD EARLY FRIDAY MORNING...WITH ISOLATED GUSTS TO 40 MPH POSSIBLE.
