  1. Justin Hicks of Hazard and Tate Cox from June Buchanan.
  2. No one is leaving. The Hazard Boys will be Bulldogs this season.
  3. Good choice. He knows what he's getting into. God Luck coach.
  4. Coach Spurlock will do a good job at Clay Co. if they leave him alone and let him do his job. As for players transferring to Clay, I don't see that happening.
  5. I'm not at liberty to say. i.e. I'm not sure who they are but I'm sure that they will pick a quality coach.
  6. Randy McCoy is a candidate but there are several others that have shown interest.
  7. Did Justin Hicks of Hazard make the All Tourney team?
  8. Hazard lost Durrell Olinger, Chucky Osteen, Jon Walker and Justin Wallace.
  9. Matt Williams of Hazard will be a senior. He's about 6 foot tall and a leaper. He's a solid defender and rebounder. He's not an offensive threat from outside but a good slasher and driver.
  10. Hazard returns Justin Hicks, Michael Campbell,Matt Williams, Pressley campbell, & Cameron Bailey plus a very strong freshman and eighth grade class. They also return a coach that won four regional tournaments,(3 All A) 2 WYMT tournaments, an All A state tournament and several other tournaments and has won over 80 games in four years. I like their chances.
  11. Let's look at Spurlock over the last 4 years. He has won 3 All A regionals and an all A state title, The Defender of the Station tournament, Estill Counties tournament, 2 WYMT tournaments, a 14th Regional Tournament, and has close to 90 victories as the Bulldog's head coach. Not Bad!
  12. Player of the year Justin Hicks just makes sense. He was the best player on this year's best team.
  13. JBS should be the favorite next season but I like Hazard's chances with Hicks, Michael Campbell & Matt Williams returning not to mention Presley campbell, Cameron Bailey, Justin Jones and a boatload of young talent coming up.
  14. At the end of Leslie's game against Lee, their fans started chanting, "We want Hazard!" They better worry about Jackson City first.
  15. Good question Professor. Hicks isn't going anywhere. Especially Perry Central.
  16. Hazard looses Durrell Olinger- 2 year starter Justin Wallace - left handed speedster Chuckie Osteen - solid performer this season Jon Walker - injury slowed him down this season but a solid scorer and rebounder
  17. I was impressed with both teams Monday Night. Hazard won the game earlier this season at JBS by 12. What do you think?
  18. Hicks had 24 and Osteen had 23. Hazard blew out to a big lead early then Hicks picked up his second foul and sat the rest of the first half. Wolve cut it to 11 at halftime and 9 early in the third before Hazard got back on track and put them away. Gilbert is a good player and would be an excellent player on a good team. He better pick up his defense if he plans to play at the next level.
  19. Great comeback from 11 down. Big Al had an excellent game plan to try to stop Hicks and it worked for three quarters but once Hazard turned up the defensive pressure with the press PCC made too many turnovers and the Bulldogs capitalized on it. When Hicks hit the "3" to give Hazard the lead the game was over. Michael Campbell was a man child on the boards and every contributed to the win. Hats off to Coach Spurlock and the rest of the players. Also I felt that Tyler Bailey and Kelly played good games for PCC. Just too much athleticism at the end for the Commodores. Keep Rolling Dawgs!
  20. I think that this is a great idea. You still could have a host school and this really makes it fair for everyone as long as no team is playing home games there during the year.
  21. Hazard has five players in double figures and Wallace didn't play. Therefore its no longer Hazard depending on Hicks for all their offense. What a problem for their opponents. They have to guard all five players. Good Luck Bulldogs!
  22. Ask any coach if they would rather play in the 10th or 14th.
  23. Dickie Alexander of Hazard and David Alexander. Dickie is probably the second leading scorer in Hazard's history. David started three years for Hazard and probably averaged 15 per game. (Dickie's daughter Carolyn is the all time leading scorer at Hazard, boys or girls). Dickie's other brother Vick, who never played for Hazard, played college basketball for Iowa State, was the Big 12 coference leading scorer and played in the NBA for Golden State and Detroit. Pretty good genes here!
