oldcat94 Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 HHS! Vories- Mr Offense, does everything a good player should Johnson - Blocker, Rebounder playes hard every minute he's in the game, never quits being competitive Ben G - Am I in your head, I beleive this kid is one of the strongest physical and mental kids in hs sports. He is clutch when needed and provides muscle to keep others intimidated. Smith - big banger, on the floor, on the boards great heart for the game, this kid leaves it all on the floor Eaton - Mr. Intangible, this kid does the little thing not recorded in the books. Gives his all, hustles every play gets the most for his ablity Hudy - Super Sub, the district final against NCC sums up how his hard work has paid off all year, he came in and hit 4 big threes that seperated the game and gave us the lift to win. These six senior are something special, the most important thing is that other than Vories there is no real star. They are a true example of team and they all no there roles. These kids have fun playing and don't get mad for playing time or someone else shooting the ball. I wish these guys the best in there futures and they have represented HHS great!

FairFan Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 BEECHWOOD Pat Muth-Mr Beechwood, starting QB for 2 years, starting SS for 3 years very good athlete Eric Sawyer-Starting Running back, he was on the tremendous 26 for KY football. One of the best outfielders in KY, and starting point guard on a much improved B Ball team. And probably one of the best athletes in all ok KY Chas Moore- only been at BW for two years but he is a great athlete. Top 5 receivers in NKY, SG, who was second in scoring behind Romes, and can play any position on the diamond. Micheal Jordan Romes- Need i say more, he is probably the player of the year in BB, and will go on to have a great career in college. and definitely one of the hardest workers i have seen. it only took him 2 years to get to the 1000 point mark....WOW Zach Miracle- Great BB player, played all four years in varsity, and is a pretty good golfer too, so i hear. Chris Curley- Probably 2nd best pitcher in the state behind the kid from Heath thats a national all-american, would have been one the best RB if he didn't get hurt last year, and also played BB till he got hurt.
FairFan Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 There are a bunch more that i dont know too much about. Jake Rhyne starting guard on the BB team. Jon Baker 2 year starter for Baseball, and started defense for the football team. And probably more that i am forgetting. GO TIGERS
mysteryman2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Author Posted March 9, 2006 Okay, although my beloved seniors had there season ended by a upset against JBS they still had a great season. They have traveled to Florida together where they played the number 6 team in the state of florida. It was a close game and only lost by five points. Clinton Dixon- He was a great player all year. He could carry a team threw many victorys. He had a great game against Berea where he went 8 for 9 in the 4th quater. He led the team in points per game and in rebounds. One of the only catagories he didn't lead the team in was turnovers (T.O.). Coach Tiller really relied on him during big games. He was a great player all around and will truly be missed by all of Estill County and his team. Jesse Puckett (Bub)- By far Estill Countys best defensive player. He got in alot of foul trouble but only because he played so hard, was aggresive, and put all his heart into the game. He didn't score as much as he can but he didn't give up he only put that much more into his defensive game. His defense will truly be missed next year. The hardest thing to replace is a mans heart. I know Tiller will be looking for it in all of his juniors. Stuart Reese- Can you say sharp shooter, he really helped during district time and lead his team to a victory against Powell County. He could put the team on his shoulders with the 3's he made. He was a Captain for the team and loved to play. He really came out during the end of the season. Estill will miss him. Zack Reagan- One of the best ball handlers for Estill. Alot of the time the fans thought he should play more. He was by far one of the best passers for Estill. Even the fans were suprised some times how he could get a pass by someone without them noticing it. He was a leader when it came to the press by moving threw double teams and picking up the fouls. During the warm ups he would always get the crowd as well as his team pumped up with his dunks. He was a first time player for Estill because he moved here from Georgia this year. He was a big pick up for Estill County and Estill was more than happy to have him. Chad "bush" Aldridge- He came off the bench to help Estill. He had came in with great defense and loved to make the big shot. Powell County he started a ralley with his big time 3 pointer. He loved to let his team know that they were still in the game after some big shots, no matter how far behind they may be. He was always happy to come in and always wanted to help the team out. Great player off the bench with great attitude. Austin Moore- (MO) The big man who would always get an appluad ever time he came in. The greatest Crowd pleaser I have ever seen. He knew how to get his team hyped up for the game. In the Powell County game at home he stole the ball and made a lay up which lead to a ralley and led his team to victory in overtime. He was always pumped up (we don't know where he got his energy from) before the game. Chase Mckinney- Big D. He was a great free throw shooter:laugh:. He loved to get in. He didnt get as much playing time as he hoped. But while he was in he played good post defense and got alot of rebounds. Estill got alot of there wins from there great bench play and most of their wins came from their senior play. I will miss all of them and hope the best for them in things to come. Weather it be College ball or no ball.
TheFrontRowFan Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Clinton Dixon - One of the best players in the region. One of the best rebounders in the state. Could score anywhere on the court in any kind of situation. Could post up or pop it from the arch. A real team horse that could carry the team through just about anything. Stuart Reese - A sweet stroke from outside as well as a great penetration pop and shoot kind of play that led to a lot of mid range buckets. Can play defense all over the court and was really a team leader in every sense. Even when he had the ankle problems he was out on the line clapping hands with players as they warmed up. Jesse Puckett - Can play defense on just about anyone. A great shooter who can put it in a defenders face or back into a fade away from either wing. I really like Jesse and wish he had got more coverage this year. Zack Reagan - He was very good about making his minutes count. He didnt play as much as some of the other seniors - but when he was in he would constantly come up with HUGE blocks and shots. One of our best ball handlers and could really use that left handed running jumper effectivelly. Austin Moore - A fan favorite. Good to see him play ball again this year. He came up with the big steal and lay up that put Estill up for good over Jackson City. Just an overall good guy that will be missed around the Estill campus both in basketball and football. Chad Aldridge - Another guy who really knew how to make his minutes work. He could play some great pressure defense - and hated to get called for a foul. He can shoot when hes on - and just was always pumped up to play. Estill will be losing three starters from this years team and they will really be missed next year. The Engineers return guards Cody Berryman and Blake Christopher and will probably look for big play from Tristan Cackling and Chris Hoover. Estill will be lacking size in a huge way - unless a transfer or something unforseen happens over the next few months.
Q man Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Hazard looses Durrell Olinger- 2 year starter Justin Wallace - left handed speedster Chuckie Osteen - solid performer this season Jon Walker - injury slowed him down this season but a solid scorer and rebounder
NKYBOY1487 Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 St. Henry Max Cantrall-Starting PG. Nephew of the famous Cantrall Ratings. "Mighty Max" has more heart than any player I've watched in a long time. He is no taller than 5'5" and leaves everything on the floor. His work ethic has been resiliant over the years and every year he proves the people wrong who said he couldn't be effective at that size on the varsity level. Max was a floor general this season and one of the big reasons SG Brandon Lenhof has become one of best guards in the region. When you look up St. Henry Basketball in the dictionary there should be a picture of Max Cantrall right there. Thanks for the memories "Super Max"!!!!! Adam Faust-2 year Varsity starter. Son of Coach Faust. The kid loves the game of basketball. A good shooter from the outside, who can knock down the 3pter from anywhere on the court. Adam has played through a lot, being the coaches son, and he had a very nice senior season. Congratulations Adam!!! Ben Kolkmeier-3 Year Varsity Player. 2 Year Starter. Has great mid range game and takes the ball to the hole very well. Ben has battled for two season against kids 3 to 5 inches taller than him on the inside. Ben never gave up and always plays hard. He will be greatly missed next season and good luck to you Ben. Michael Otte-Brother of Bellermine star Matt Otte. Mike is a shooting guard that came off the bench this season to surpise many of us. He didn't see much floor time last season, but you wouldn't have known that by watching him play. He was a reliable senior that Coach Faust could put in and get points out of. A good outside shooter who got the job done. Michael is another player that has a ton of heart and leaves it all the floor. Good Luck Michael in all you do!! Micheal Rice-6'3" Center. He also has been battling against the much bigger centers all year. A good rebounder and a excellent defender on the post. Mike will tell you he's not the most talented player on the court. But he is the hardest working kid I've seen come through St. Henry since Micheal Schmidt, the center from the 2003 team. He loves the game and is always willing to help out the younger guys on whatever. Mike is a beast in the weight room and off the court just loves to have fun. A true cut up. I'm looking forward to working this summer with Mike. Congratulations to all the St. Henry District High School Senior Basketball Players!!!! You all will be successful in whatever you do. Its great to see a class of 5 seniors play at St. Henry grade school all the way through St. Henry High School together. Good Luck!!
the villager Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Pineville had four seniors: Blake Hensley, Derek Rosenbalm, Robert Daniels, and Brad Venable. Hensley and Rosenbalm have been key parts in rebuilding Pineville's program. -Blake Hensley: Has been Coach Strange's floor leader for the past 3 years. Could play all 5 spots on the floor which made him very special for Pineville. Will be the most difficult player to replace. -Derek Rosenbalm: Most known for his ability to shoot the 3, he was used most often as Pineville's key defensive player.
Devilman Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 From Deming: Jordan Massey 6'5' center for the Black Devils, huge can plug up the middle and has been noted to take a 3pt shot at times, Lyle Hendicks 5'10' point guard, handles the ball well under pressure, Eric Burns 5'10" guard quick, aggresive has a nice 3pt. shot needed to show that more IMO. All three will be missed next year.
Lightning Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Buckhorn's 4 seniors: Josh Riley, Kevini Davidson, Brandon Miller, and Jeremy Abner will be missed. They had very difficult roles. Their frehsman year was current coach John Noble's first season and the program had been struggling. They only won 1 game that season and it was an overtime thriller against RIVERSIDE. Thes 4 young men helped rebuild this program and the hard work has showed off as they were one of the better teams of the 14th and the future looks bright. Hats off to these 4.
mcpapa Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Mason County loses one senior - center Mikah Turner. Mikah worked exceptionally hard during the off-season and has become a very effective post player; averages about 10 rebounds a game. Goes nonstop (ask anyone who lined up against #64 for Mason County in football this past season) all game long. Before basketball season it was almost a foregone conclusion that Mikah would play D-II football; now the grapevine tells me that he's waiting to see if any basketball schollies are offered before committing to FB.
