  1. So petty. And I’m guessing this is the AD making this call and not Eviston.
  2. There are around 70 boys in that pick. That’s good numbers for Dixie lately.

It's been about 10 years since being down there. Papa Rocco's - At the time, the pizza was great. Obviously not something you plan on eating when getting to Florida, but we were looking for something quick and easy the first night there while getting settled in. Ended up going back a 2nd time later in the week as the 2 little ones loved the pizza. LuLu's - Get there early to beat the crowd. Food was good, nothing amazing. Nice atmosphere with the play area for the kids. Granted, 3 year old is likely to little to enjoy the play area. Tacky Jacks - Good food at a reasonable price. The Hangout - Good food and atmosphere on the beach. I've heard The Gulf is good from relatives that have been down there recently. Right on the beach down in Orange/Perdido Beach. It's made out of old shipping containers. Sea n Suds and Gulf Island Grille weren't very good at all. I'm sure there are new places down there as there was stuff under development when we were down there.
  4. It's a multi-weekend event. SK will be down there this coming weekend.
  5. Only saw a pic of the scoreboard reading 42-9 Dixie. I don’t have any details.
  6. I can't wait to see him on the football field this year. I know he was putting in the work this offseason.
  7. Those are the seniors this year. Chris takes some amazing pics for the athletes at Dixie. I know at one point this offseason they had just over 90 kids out. Hearing that they still have around 80 is a good thing. I’ve heard nothing but positives coming from the parents at Dixie.
  8. Biggest question here is will Dean be able to convince Dixie's staff to change their style of play. If he can, Dixie might finally get over the hump. If not, then they will continue to struggle to compete with the top teams in the state.
  9. Is it pure coincidence or irony or something else, that the national massage therapist convention is in Cleveland later this month?
  10. The high school has an Erlanger address, but it is in Boone County. The county line is just east of the school.
  11. Is there anyone local (NKY) that paints helmets? I just picked up one for my son as I found a deal on one, but I need it a different color. If not, I’ll just sent it off to get painted and have it ready for next year.
  12. Ben Roethlisberger: 1 accusation = 6 game suspension Deshaun Watson: 24 accusations = 6 game suspension
  13. When this first came out about the turf, I didn't hear anything about plans for a football team, but putting in the football lines allows them to bring in some revenue by renting the field to local peewee and middle school teams for games.
  14. I heard from a reliable source yesterday that he'll be at Beechwood. It's just a matter of getting all the paperwork squared away.
  15. If I'm not mistaken, they have an announcement tomorrow morning. They haven't said what that announcement is, so all the speculation is that it's a new helmet.
  16. It all depends on the mood. Ranch - a good homemade version is usually better than store bought. At home, we like the Aldi brand. Italian - always have a bottle of Olive Garden in the fridge and always Italian at LaRosa's French/Catalina - was always my go-to at a buffet Vinaigrette - almost any style
  17. I don't blame him either. Would've been nice to see him at Dixie these next 4 years though.
  18. This was strictly football motivated from what I've heard.
  19. Plus they lost a ton of talent. I've heard nothing but positives about the staff, and it sounds like they're getting more kids to come out. I'm curious to see how things turn out these next few years.
  20. Speaking of kickers, Andrew Kohls at Dixie. He's a soccer player that just started kicking last year as a sophomore and split time with another soccer player. When healthy, as he dealt with a foot injury from soccer last year, he can hit from 60yds. I've seen him working out at Dixie and Griffin this off season, so very curious to see what he does in his junior and senior years.
  21. Tons of talent in NKY right now.
  22. There has been talk about the family moving across the river.
  23. RB/LB/DE Cam Thomas - 2026 He's an 8th grader from Turkey Foot with offers from Georgia Tech and EKU.
  24. No question it's the parents. And going back to the original post, this is one area a parent needs to step up and talk to the coach. Obviously every coach is different, but this would be one area (player's health) I would think (hope) a coach would be open to discussion at any time.
