No date was provided but I would think it would be just prior to camp beginning.  At this point, anything other than the White Tiger helmet may lead to fan mutiny.

 

If I'm not mistaken, they have an announcement tomorrow morning.  They haven't said what that announcement is, so all the speculation is that it's a new helmet.

I saw something that said 10am.

That uni combo is the best in the NFL and I don't think it's particularly close.

I like it A LOT!!  Here is another "image" of the uniforms.

I know it's a gimmick you usually see in college...but, do you think we'll see a call for a "white out" in the game against the Dolphins?  Might be cool to see PBS like that under the lights.

In the past, the NFL has limited the number of times teams could use the Alt. unis and helmets.  I believe it was 2 times per season.  If that holds, I'd see them using them in 2 high profile games.

I'd say they do it Monday night 10/31 against Cleveland and then 12/4 against Kansas City.

Yeah, I knew of the limitations.  Just figured the Dolphins game, since it was earlier in the season, you'd have a better chance of having good weather.  If you were the Bengals, and wanting people to buy $100+ color-rush unis, you'd probably have an easier time convincing them they'll be seen in it when they know it won't be covered up with jackets.

I love color-rush games but I remember hearing a few years ago that the NFL changed their policy to serve color blind viewers.  Anyone?

Who DEY!

I saw a few comments and tweets like the one below.  they could have done the "classic" Bengals look anytime they wanted.  The helmets have always been orange since their first season in 1968.   They could have pulled the stripes and added the block "BENGALS" at any time.   Time to look forward with this squad, not back.
