I think it's interesting to look at the KHSAA web page that lists teams with openings next year. Hopkinsville, Highlands, Trigg County, Mercer County, Henry Clay, and Lexington Catholic are all having trouble filling their schedule next year. They were able to fill their past schedules because of larger districts. For some reason, they are now having a hard time filling the schedule.

The only privates in 2003 were in the 4-a game correct? I just don't think fans who don't have teams involved in the championship game are going to flock to PJS to watch private schools play at the lower level.

It's a shame several of the OCath posters can't post after what they said after losing last year. Aces03 How does Walker compare to what Trigg has seen at quarterback with Barnard and Woodward? Is IJames their best runner. Scribe or westsider Can Trigg run the ball if they can't get outside of the Ace defense? Can they pass the ball?

It's hard to pick Johnson Central to win based on recent playoff success. I'm curious to see how they respond in a close game, or even playing from behind in the fourth quarter. Dismiss it all you want but it does make a difference.

I think Trigg is a good defensive team but I just can't see them beating Owensboro Catholic. They don't have the offensive firepower to outscore them. OC wins 21-7.
