I think Coach Sams has the program heading in the right direction. I think they will win at least three games this year and beat their rival South.

Get some more skill kids out. They have consistently been one of the slowest teams I've seen play. Fundamentally, they are fine. Just slow.

I hear Murray may be the surprise team in 2a this year. They have a lot coming back and had a good summer in the weightroom. Looking at their schedule, they should have no trouble winning four games outside of the district.

Could they be the sleeper team in their new class?

Mayfield may have the best kicker in the state. Did the kids from Fulton City transfer to Mayfield or are they staying put? I hear the freshmen and sophomore classes are something to behold.

How is Barga looking in practice? Is he 100% yet?

They may have the easiest road to Louisville of any team. I just wonder if they will lose their competitive edge on the way to the playoffs.

They are an improving bunch but they will likely be the only team in 2a to miss the playoffs. I think a new offense would make them a much better team. Of course they have to find a way to stop the other team also.

The jump to 3a is interesting. They are in a much better 3a district than they would have been in 1a or 2a. I hear they have the skill kids back. They need some depth on the line to compete at the 3a level. Coach Myers has done a great job turning that program around.

I haven't heard. I read the preview and it made no mention of it but its possible.

They need more kids out for the team. This is a program that always produced good skill position kids but even they have been few and far between in recent years. I wonder if the commitment to the program by the school and community is still there for the Rebels?

They hired a guy from Indiana. Getting the best athletes out for the team has to be his top priority.

Webster County has the Rollins kid back at running back. He didn't have a lot of help last year. They graduated some big linemen. Does anyone know if any kids from Providence High are playing football for Webster this year?

It looks like things have turned around at Warren East. Now the job for the coaches is to sustain it. Good job by the current staff.

When was the last time Warren Central and Bowling Green were in the same district?

I read where they already have 100 kids out for the team. I guess that means they had to order 70 new jerseys for this year?

Are the two players staying at Fulton City? Their good running back and the Lawson kid? I heard they may end up in Mayfield.

I'm sure they won't miss a beat with their new coaching staff. I do wonder if they will be as good offensively. I watched the same staff call plays for Madisonville last year and they appeared to be on the conservative side more than often.

From the sound of it, he appears primed to take the Colonels to the next level. That is a program that should have appeared in the championship game at some point in the past 20 years.
