I think Ryan Phillippi is the best player on Henry Clay's team. Better than Gay or Boyd. He just doesn't get the ink the other two do. Have to also agree about Israel.

I have read it and was let down. No pictures, no team rankings, only rank the five best players instead of 10. It seems like there is less about each team also.

Fraliex opted out of the game to attend summer school at Murray. After last week, I can't blame him. It was good to see a better balance of minutes in the boxscore. I think Proffitt also began summer school.

Did Indiana wear down KY?? It seems like a lot of good players only played a few minutes for Ky.

Is it just me or does it seem like whenever there is a successful coach forced out regardless of the sport, there is usually a female principal behind it?

Every sport has the so-called dominant district. Louisville area football districts, NKY Class A region in track and field, 8th district in basketball, and the list goes on. It obviously hasn't always been that way in Lexington so there is no need to change anything now.

What about Pikeville's coach? I hear he may be interested in moving west.

I know Curtis Higgins was a name mentioned when Duffer Duffy was going through his inseason troubles at Henderson. Can't see him leaving Fern Creek high and dry but you never know. I wonder if Marty Jaggers is interested. I know he wanted a shot at the Trigg County job but didn't get interviewed.

I think the big question here is why did he have to be settled down while pitching a shutout with two outs in the last inning? I'm sure the scout had some questions answered about how he will handle the pressure of pitching in a close game, let alone a 7-0 blowout.

Mayfield will play in the state championship game every year until they do away with six classes.

Because I'm only familiar with the practices of some rural privates. For me to get on here and accuse Covington Catholic, DeSales, or Sayre of recruiting would be incorrect since I don't follow these programs like I do others. Also, it's a little different animal when a metro private school can go after kids in an area with 200,000 people as opposed to going after kids in areas of 20,000 and less. Although both are wrong, It's not as glaring in the metro areas.

If they decide to follow the same path other small rural privates have done in the past, the accusations will warrant merit.

I thought UHA had two foreign born players on that team. Where was Cline from?

Great post BG. I'm pretty sure most schools in this part of the state would be in favor of going to class basketball, especially the third and fourth regions because everyone knows the path to Rupp usually ends in Owensboro and Bowling Green.

I'm sure most people from Elliott County would. Everyone sitting around me last night at Rupp agreed that Anderson was the best player on the floor and was a much better offensive player in terms of shot and creating the shot, as well as he should be given the age difference.
