Lee County 30 Riverside Christian 1

Whatever Riverside Christian did to Lee County before the game, I hope for their sake they never do it again :scared:

I'll pray for Lee County tonight. That's an amazing baseball score!

I know that Riverside is the worst team in the region. But how do you get a score like this Lee is about middle of the pack of the 14th but still how do you get a score like that it is a little bit bush league of Lee to run up a score like that in the worst team in the region.

I understand Lee played every player on the team, and that Riverside couldn't get anybody out, and that the game stopped after 3 innnings. Lee played 6th and 7th graders. If you hit easy fly balls that the other team can't catch, what do you do? Stop running until the ball finally gets to first for a force out?

Should Lee's 6th graders deliberately swing and miss? Double up on the bases for outs? Call in the Little Leaguers?

Lee only played Riverside because of the All A. If they can't compete at that level, maybe they should reconsider entering the tournament.

If this is trully the case, they might consider dropping baseball for a season or two before someone gets hurt. I'm not sure how you can give up 30 runs in 3 innings.

I will state that in 2002 when Lee County went to Rockcastle County to play, they had numerous 5th, 6th, and 7th graders on the team who would probably be the upperclassmen right now. Well anyway about the games, if I'm not mistaken, it was Little League night and the JV game was played first and that was the WORST game to keep score for because the coaching staff at Lee County wanted to use everyone on the roster to bat so they had 15 batters and the game was won fairly easily by Rockcastle County.

With all of that said and knowing someone that played on that Lee County team, who later transferred to Rockcastle County to live with his mother, the coaching staff at Lee County have nothing but the utmost respect for the game of baseball and I don't think they'd do anything intentionally to run up the score like the outcome looked like last night.

Should Lee's 6th graders deliberately swing and miss?.

Something about this just made me laugh and brought back fond memories of the ORIGINAL Bad News Bears movie. Goodness. lol

You are right, not much you can do when the other team can't make routine plays.

Sounds like a hitchhiker in a Texas hail storm. Can't run. Can't hide. Can't make it stop.
