Remember, the only people that can make bold Mayfield predictions are Card supporters.

Anyone?

Frankfort and Holy Cross may have a say in things this year, but, with those guys having to come west this year, the Cards should be able to handle them... Beechwood and Mayfield, IMO, will be the class of Class A this year, hands down...

Of course, some Mayfield fans have more credibility than others ...

And exactly what are you implying Westsider?

BOLD PREDICTION:

Logan Armstrong steps in at Quarterback in his senior season and the Cardinal QB throws for 1,000-yards on offense and makes more than 100 tackles on defense to help lead the Cards to their 8th state championship. The Cards have a hard fought battle with Beechwood at War Memorial Stadium here in Mayfield during the sub-state game but win it on a 45-yard FG by Tommy McNutt as time expires and then the Cards beats Pikeville in the state championship game.

The 1st of 3 straight state titles

No need for any bold predictions, we are talking about Mayfield here not Murray High. The Cards should be your state Champs unless their QB plan failes.

The 1st of 3 straight state titles

Now thats BOLD !!!

Not so bold prediction-A will be a two horse race between Beechwood and Mayfield, year in and year out.

I agree, those 2 will be prohibitive favorites most years, but, there are others, like LCA, Pikeville, Frankfort, Holy Cross, Raceland, who'll have good teams and sometimes very good teams, that'll contend.

Mayfield will play in the state championship game every year until they do away with six classes.
