By far the best player on the court. Could of had 35+ points if his coach would have left him in the game.

Congrats to Warren Central on the "W".

Hats off to a young but very talented Elliott County team. They never quit just ran into a buzz saw in WC.

Elliott Co. had a great run and have made a name for themselves throughout the state of Kentucky. Great job guys.:thumb:

Congratulations to Warren Central for a great win and for going to the final four.

Also, congratulations to Elliott County on a great season.

Warren Central was just a much more athletic and bigger team. Elliott couldn't defend them. They played a tight zone and Central would knock down 3's. They went man to man and Central just dominated them inside. They couldn't stop them in transistion. They were simply overmatched. Knipp tried to play, but could barely move on the court. His help would have been nice, but this kid is going to be a real player by the time he's a senior...in 2011! The Faulkners played well and Ferguson had a hot stretch in the 2nd then went fairly quiet. He's going to have two more years with big numbers.

One thing I noticed about Anderson, who is one of my favorite players I've ever watched in the Sweet 16. He started slow tonight, missing early shots, I think he had 5 midway through the 2nd. Then he picked up a cheap foul on an Elliott lay up and that got him going. He was on a mission after that, and finished with 25. They just have so many bodies coming off the bench, but that won't matter tomorrow morning. That game could be spectacular.

I'd just like to congratulate the Lions one more time. They had a great run, excited a community, and won a game at Rupp. I came away extremely impressed with that bunch of kids. They are going to be an absolute force to be reckoned with the next two years. I enjoyed watching you all very much this year, and good luck (sans Tomcat games ;)) next year! :thumb:

Elliott did the 16th proud, them thar fellers will be hard to deal with for a few years to come. :thumb:

We all look forward to your continual cheap shots to Elliott County. Good job:thumb:

Granted Anderson most likely could have scored 35 points if he had played the additional 10 minutes that he sat on the bench resting. But, I would like to point out that it seems to be the opinion of many that Warren Cent. is a far superior team. OK, for the sake of argument I'll agree with you. We have now determined that had Warren Central's best player who was well rested could have score 35 points against an "inferior" team. Well, I would like to point out that Elliott's Ferguson who had no opportunity to rest scored 25 points against the extremely powerful and far superior team of Warren Central. Now, tell me again who was the best player on the court?

I like Ferguson's game, but 100 times out of 100 I'll take Anderson. He's one of the smartest, most creative scorers I've seen on the HS level.

I was only trying to point out Ferguson's accomplishment.

Ferguson at a glance:

FG's 7 for 20 (35%), 3 pter's 1 for 7 (14%), FT's 10 for 13 (77%), 0 Assists, 3 turnovers. If you take into account the shots he took when he was fouled, he took 25 shots for the game to get 25 points. Played 31 minutes (1 minute short of a full game).

Anderson at a glance:

FG's 10 for 21 (48%), 3 pter's 4 for 11 (36%), FT's 1 for 1 (100%), 0 assists, 0 turnovers. Played 23 minutes (less than 3 quarters)

Anderson only went to the line once and it was on a made basket.

Based on the numbers, Evan Faulkner had a really nice game. From the guard spot, he pulled 7 rebounds and was 45% from the floor including 2 for 4 from threes ending with 18 points.

I was only trying to point out Ferguson's accomplishment.

Sure sounded like you were trying to say Ferguson was the superior player.

Is Anderson a Senior?

^ He is.

That being said, I would gladly take Ferguson over Anderson. Anderson has one more game. Ferguson has two more seasons.

We need to revisit this discussion in 2 years.
