He's not not downing a kid. He's saying that better players put up fewer points cause they play in far more talented regions where defenses are tougher and games are far more challenging.

The thread for DeSales and Manual was posted the night of the game. This thread was posted the day after. There were several posts explaining the DeSales game. And they were dead on. It was the first game Manual played without Kimbro and having to adjust to a second D-1 starter being removed from the line-up. Now adjustments are being made yet again and not to mention a 3rd coach in 3 years with yet another system for players to learn. Playing one of the most difficult schedules in the state, Manual has 18 wins playing in three of the top tournaments and the second toughest region in the state, the 7th. What, your not a fan of Manual or the 7th?

Actually, Manual has won 18 games now. No one posted it, so I did. Has a new forum been set up for the regions outside of the 16th? Did I post on the wrong board? My apology if I did. To answer the other person's question regarding Kimbro, no, he did not play against Bullitt East.

As Pitino once said, "revenge is over-rated." You can avenge as many regular season games as you want, but the games that count are win you play and either advance or turn in your uniform. The parity is unreal this year. The state does have overall more talent than last year and no one team is sheltered from upsets even from some non ranked teams. There are a ton of variables this year in picking a solid top 20. There are even more variables when trying to only pick district winners, much less a state champ. Have fun with the rankings. As some will have fun picking them apart come tourney time. Kentucky high school hoops is alive and well.

And it doesn't hurt that the Graves family has contributed some 3-point shooters that are lights out with the latest being AJ Graves. Their offense is simplicity. Set screens, come off screen, bury three or hit cutter. The fieldhouse they play in is the finest in tradition. Unreal hoops environment anc coach Stephens is a class act and a nice person to know. Their practices are exactly as you see on their TV games with drills for fast-breaks that lead to threes instead of alley-oops. Mack picked a great program and Butler gets a great player. Win-win.

Manual lost at DeSales WITHOUT another starter playing. Have you played at DeSales this year, or any other year? It was an 8 point game midway in the 4th. By the way, it was Manual's 7th or 8th game against a top 20 team in less than three weeks. Can your school say that? Manual throttled Rose Hill and only played their starters for 2 quarters winning by 25. Rose Hill beat Elliott County. Manual, with all its players, won the LIT beating 3 teams that have been top 10 this year and still are top 20. Bring your team to the 7th and see how well you fare.

And since he mentioned Ballard, you CANNOT justify leaving out Manual and Male. Male won the KOB, Manual finished 3rd in KOB and won the LIT!

...And Ballard only loses to Lex Cath by 2. The 7th and 11th Region are really even and tied at the top. Its anyone's season!

Manual goes from #8 to dropping out. Interesting how a team with more top 20 wins than over 75% of the teams is left out of Trojans rankings.
