Could it be that you need to change your glasses and get the lense that read between the lines?

Sure sounded like you were trying to say Ferguson was the superior player.

Would you be willing to say that a matchup between Warren Central and Elliott County is roughly equivalent to a matchup between, let's say, Warren Central and either Scott County or possibly Huntington High? If we can agree that it would be a similar type of matchup, then it would be interesting to see how Anderson would perform in either of these games. I hate trying to compare apples and oranges but Ferguson had bigger obstacles to overcome than Anderson in a Elliott County-Warren Central matchup.

I guess that applies to me, too, since FBALL was right on the money ...

Congrats to both teams. Warren Central was the better team in that game and moved on. Elliott County let me watch my team play two games at Rupp which is something I never thought I would see. I hope the kids savored the moment. They will have a big target on their backs the next couple of years and may not get to make the trip back. The Warren Central team has enjoyed 6 straight trips to Rupp and played with a talented, senior-dominated lineup. The superior team won out in this game. But, I love to watch the little schools play with such enthusiasm and heart. They didn't quit even when down 29 with less than 5 minutes left. That is the legacy of this Elliott County team...hard work and heart. I will look forward to watching them play the next couple of years.

Loved to watch Jeremy Anderson play. He plays with so much heart and gives it his all. He is always moving and has a given gift on how to score ,shooting threes or going to the basket for a lay-up and really knows how to use his body. He was my favorite of the tournament.

I am a Clark Co fan because my grandson plays for them but my second favorite team is Elliott Co. I have followed them all year and saw them in the Class A, the finals of the 16th and in the state 2 games. I'm impressed with their ability to shoot and pass and to know where one another is all the time. I saw the twins after their first game and told them they played a great game and their response to me were very polite. Seem like great kids and I'll be following you next year in between the Clark Co games. Sure hated to see that injury to that Knipp kid. Had a fine article on him and the Stenzel kid from Clark Co in the Lex paper. Best of luck next year Elliott , and of course Clark Co too.

I think Warren Central could compete with SC, so I'm not on board with your analogy. I think Anderson would more than hold his own in these hypothetical matchups you suggest, however.

Let me start off by congratulating both teams. Elliot had a great season and I guarentee they will be back. But as for the boy with the ankle injury. What was the coach thinking?

The poor kid couldn't walk up the floor. Even if the kid said he could play, you don't play him after seeing him gimp up and down. He couldn't jump. He couldn't run. He couldn't even move. The kid is an 8th grader and the coach is putting him in danger.

I can't believe this hasn't been discussed. Where I was watching from, our whole section was in outrage. It truely was painful for me to watch.

The coach for Elliot Co. did a heck of job with his boys, but should be ashamed that he played that kid when he was in that much pain.

Well as far as them playing Timmy he is a valuable player to the team and he wanted to give it a try to see what he could do. So the coaches gave him a chance. I commend the coaches for letting him have that chance. I think it showed alot of heart on Timmy's behalf to try to help his team out. He loves the game of basketball and it was harder on him to sit the bench than it was playing on a bad ankle.

I will agree that after one trip down the court, I immediately said "he has to come out of the game..." He was limping badly.

Do you have a website where the article of Knipp and Stenzel is at?

It was in the Lex Herald Leader after Clarks and Elliotts first win in the tournament , had an article about each of the 8th graders and their pictures.I have the paper but don't know how to send it . Go to kentucky.com and you may get it off the archives. Go to Kentucky.com and at the top, type in "eighth graders man up at Rupp" and the article will come up but it doesn't show the pictures.
