SuperB You really think a Corbin team that plays Rockastle Co. within 2 pts and Bell within 3 is going to get blown away?

Middlesboro was ranked#1 in 03 when Belfry won that game. They are ranked higher now than Belfry I have to be a homer and take Belfry, but it will take a solid effort that limits turnovers and drive killing penalties. We all know the days of Howard and Jones breaking big ones are gone.

I haven't seen Russell play. I just know their "identity" is similar to that of Belfry. They are hardnosed, "we are coming at you, try to stop us" teams. I think Corbin plays well against that attitude. If Russell is more of an explosive/out-athlete ya team, then thats great. I just doubt that is really the case. I think Belfry has some good skill guys, but that doesn't make Belfry an "athletic/skill type" team in the mold of Middlesboro or Western. Russell is a blue collar smashmouth team. I'm sure they have good athletes, but Corbin will be forced to stop the Wing T in its purest form. Russell won't slip 3 and 4 receivers, etc. I just think Corbin is a different beast than Newport. They know smashmouth football. All that said. Russell is who my money is on Russell 27 Corbin 14

I have no idea why, but my gut tells me Johnson Central wins by 2 td's with Rock scoring late to make it look closer than it was. Again, NO data at all on which to base this. But that is my barely educated guess. If I'm right, someone has to call me Nostrodamus right? lol

Going solely on results from this season, I think Corbin matches up pretty well with hardnosed/blue collar running teams. (see Rockcastle, Bell) On the other hand, they seem to struggle against athletic type teams (see Middlesboro, South Laurel) Russell's basic identity is more in line with the good blue collar/hardnosed running game. Russell is obviously the favorite, but I think Corbin has a decent shot in this game.

This may be an absurd question, but is Male fully confident that they are right there or better than Trinity? I would imagine T's recent and historical success have to give them a least a little "aura"

IMO Male should play at home and their fans should show up early and in force. Money isn't everything. If I was the Male HC I would want to play at home. The only way I think about moving to Papa Johns is if I honestly felt it gave my team an edge.

Perhaps Daddy Cat, but Pikeville fans (and I think fairly) will demand accountability from the staff. Pikeville's players were very good and should not have exited early IMO.

Corey Chapman IS one the most underrated TB's to play at Belfry. It doesn't always look "pretty" but he makes plays.
