For all of you UoL fans. What is there to gain by ripping on UK? If the Cards beat them down again, they did what was expected. If UK plays them close or wins, it will be Black Saturday for you guys. ALSO, I doubt UoL will put 63,000 in the stands more than 2 times a season. WV, and UK every other year will probably pack the expanded stadium.

Burton, Johnson, Tamme, and Jones caught 5 balls each. All indications seem to say Steve Johnson has really come on. UK will be very good at WR with: Burton Lyons Johnson Jones Ford

Watch for the emergence of #7 from Belfry next season - Soph to be Lovern. He will likely play corner.

Belfry has "good" speed overall to put on the field. They just don't have the gamebreaking speed needed to hit home run plays. It will show up unless they can get much more out of their passing game than they have in years. Good defenses will make them grind it out. That leads to turnovers.

Sorry, but I don't see Bradley or Crawford as busts. I know Ramel has his faults, but he brings it night in and night out and had some very good games this season. I think he will be a very solid improve even more this offseason. Crawford, on the other hand has let me down to some extent. BUT, he has produced some pretty decent numbers. He may not have lived up to expectations, but he hasn't been a "bust"

Look for the court to rule against Jefferson County in this one.

What Soph's to be will see considerable playing time next season? The Lovern kid is the only one I have heard any hype about. I assume he is likely to step in at one of the vacant DB spots? The Coleman kid is likely to fill in another DB spot, along with Preston and Elkins? I look for big things out of Sutherland on the defensive line. With him, Totten, Bowens, and Lee all returning to the front 5, Belfry should be decent up front. May and Dotson return at LB's and that should further improve the front 7. The defense has a lot of returning experience and should be good IMO. It all hinges on whether or not Belfry has enough speed in the secondary. I hope Hickman is given the oppurtunity to play RB this upcoming season. I know he had problems with fumbles, but I thought we exploded through the hole well the few times I saw him carry. I think this team has a bunch of SOLID players, but lacks standout talent. IMO, they are a couple stud O-lineman and 1 or 2 speed burners away from a 3a title this upcoming season. Not saying they can't make a run, but it will be difficult without breakaway speed.

Anti-UK fans are trying to milk the whole "UK fans are ridiculous" thing to the last drop. I see the same people in every thread making negative comments. Most of the time, UK fans are just trying to be excited about what is going on witht the program. The "Gillespie better enjoy it now, because in two days UK will be calling for his job" posts are just as ridiculous as the comments that have brought them on. I was unhappy with Tubby at the end, but I guess because I let that be known, I am "crazy UK fan who won't give any coach a fair shot" Its CRAP. I supported Tubby for 8 years +. I just saw the program on a downward trend. Gillespie will get a fair shake! By me and nearly everyone else!

I agree with the great games comment. Belfry will now get to play 6 non-district games each year (compared to 4 last year) This year the have: Corbin Pikeville Shelby Valley Lawrence County West Jessamine Johnson Central Should be real nice from a fans perspective.

Belfry is up there IMO. Support from administration = ridiculous Fan support = VERY GOOD Talent level/feeder system = Decent for a similarly sized school Proximity to WV = does bring in the occasional transfer (not recruited) Budget = one of the tops in the state if I recall Salary = not sure, bet its good Statewide Prestige - Above average in media/good among those who know
