Just saw the little picture of Belfry's "Media Day" in the Appalachian News Express. Charlie Dotson (#28) looks like he has put on a nice bit of muscle! Thats what I like to see! :thumb:

I thought Webb looked good the couple times I saw him play last season. Seems like a natural NG. Has Coleman put on a lot of size. I kinda thought we was a DB body (although stocky) What number was this Varney kid?

Just read in the 1a preview where Pikeville may be starting a Soph at QB instead of Honaker. Is this true?

I think Russell should be ranked above Belfry. Overall it looks very good.

I just assumed the starting Freshmen QB from last season would move into the backup role.

Heard a rumor that Belfry had about 75 kids out and a very impressive Freshmen class! Hope its true!

Keep checking in on those practices EKU. The update is much appreciated from this fan! One note. By continuing to work Preston primarily at QB, that could signal a couple things. A) No other QB is good enough now to be the backup, so Haywood is forced to work Preston in case of injury or B) Elkins hasn't improved as much as Pirate fans have hoped and there is still competition for the job Hopefully Elkins steps up and an underclassman QB shows they can run the offense. I think Preston would benefit from a fulltime move to WR if he is eventually going to end up there.

I think Lawrence loses to Belfry, Sheldon Clark, Breathitt Co., and Russell. 6-4 IMO.

I think Lee will be fantastic based on what I saw last season. I think a few guys could really benefit from some added lean weight - especially Elkins and Dotson. There was a good nucleus of young players with a lot of potential. I hope they have/are working hard to get stronger and faster.
