I think UK is an average team, with 1 key strength. I really believe Morris has as much post skill as any big man in the nation. He is not quick or extremely athletic, but (I might get pasted for this) he owns all of the post moves. He can hit the turn around jumpshot, the 15 footer from the foul line, he can spin baseline, he can power into the middle, and lastly, he can hit free throws. Maybe I am an optimist, but I kinda think Crawford will end up raising his game and being "Mr outside" so to speak by years end. Unfortuntately, UK doesn't have enough contribution at PF to be a top team.

I will support them if they go 19-11 every year. Last night I saw IU and Duke play INCREDIBLE basketball. The intensity was off the charts. Tonight Ohio State (of all people) and UNC looks like giants. Can Kentucky regain their place atop the ranks? Or will the program stagnate as a "good" but top 20ish program under the current coach?

I think Dick Vitale is a good man. No one is perfect, but I REALLY beleive he does a nice job commentating, LOVES college basketball, and is fundamentally decent person. BTW, I can't stand Billy Packer

The ability of Afflalo and the toughness of Mata will keep UCLA in the discussion, but I have seen other teams that are deeper and better.

I hate to say it. I BLEED BLUE, but UK just isn't nearly athletic as some of the top teams. The bright spot is that the Freshman ARE athletic.

Why? I am not close to UC's program. I realize Huggins had some problems and you mentioned something about a DUI. IMO, this is a guy who is a big time coach who got had a bad year at Nebraska and the sky fell. Look what Ohio has done this season. They are in the MAC title game. AND, I think Solich would come on board for CONSIDERABLY less money than many others. Why the fan distaste?

Gametime, I personally think that Frank Solich would be a nice hire, AND I don't think it would take a great deal of money to get him in there.

Unfortunately, Tubby is going to live and dies with SHE-Ray I have always been a Tubby supporter, but if he stiffles this team by playing a nonproductive Thomas 27 minutes a game, I can't understand that.

UK isn't that great, but UoL is down and WKU is up but "up" means nearly equal with UoL and UK. UK UoL WKU

As down as I am (am will continue to be) on She-ray, I do not feel the same about Perry. I think he is just starting slow. If Perry gets back to the level he finished the season last year, UK becomes a significantly better basketball team.

Crawford needs to get shots no doubt. I think Morris is the 1st option however. I am going to back off on Joe a bit. He played good defense last night and play much more within the offense. If he keeps that up, UK could have a nice inside/out punch.

Thomas needs to get about 10 minutes per game. Coming in for 2:30 bursts to give a blow to Stevenson

LMB, Thomas might screen well, but he really couldn't contribute against CoC. Do you think he will offer much against better competition? When he gets the ball, he is NO threat to score. Other teams scout and they no Thomas has ZERO offensive ability. Letting the opposition gaurd 5 on 4 doesn't give UK much chance and even if they can get a decent shot off, Thomas pretty much has NO chance of pulling an offensive board. Stevenson on the other hand.....

First of all, Crawford played better last night. Yes I do watch the games. My criticism of Crawford (and ultimately my support OF ANY CAT) is based on what I have seen. Crawford certainly comes off screens hard WHEN HE IS IN LINE FOR A SHOT! He played a nice game last night and played within himself. Perhaps early on he was just forcing the action a tad. If he lets the game come to him, I think he will be critical to UK success this year.

For anyone defending SHE-Ray, see post seven to see what he "didn't" do. He didn't make a field goal (hit two free throws) in 27 minutes. He only pulled 4 rebounds in 27 minutes. He had one assist and one turnover in 27 minutes. Most importantly, College of Charleston was VERY THIN in post players and this was the best SHE-Ray could do in 27 minutes? Yes, he sucks.

SHE-Ray is pathetic.

Brohm is a god. Woodson is a mere mortal.

I think Perry's thump is affecting his shot, or at least his confidence. Morriss is too much for Charleston.
